Great atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely food. Our only quibble was the fact that the steak night was listed as costing £45 for 2 steaks and a bottle of wine. The steaks were perfectly cooked and the wine was really good but when we got the bill it was £53. When we queried the £8 they said it was the mushroom sauce we had. This restaurant is our go to for tasty quality meals. The menu has a varied selection of dishes and additionally there is a specials board which changes regularly. The quality of produce and presentation of the dishes is outstanding. If you are celebrating something special or just fancy a really good meal this pub is a must. fabulous place, i meet some of my family here every yr, in December to exchange gifts, cards etc. we have done this for 7 or 8 years now, the food is always amazing, the hosts are wonderful, always make us very welcome, today i had Turkey it was so succulent, there was 14 in our party, and all of us had a really good meal, we are planing to do a meet in summer, but if not, we will definitely see you next December
