A cosy and inviting restaurant with delicious food! The owner, Asamnew, was such a friendly and welcoming host, who really took the time to explain the food and Abyssinian culture. The food was fantastically fresh, fragrant, and flavourful. All dishes being suitable for vegans was a real treat for someone like me! A great experience all around and I shall be a regular visitor of this wonderful restaurant.

We don’t go out to eat very often, but when we do we like to find little gems in a sea of chain restaurants. It is safe to say that this restaurant is phenomenal! We had a lovely experience with service, the food, and the atmosphere. The restaurant was clean and decorated modestly but in a way that you knew it was loved and cherished. The food from what we could tell was prepared by one person in the kitchen, and front of house was all by one person as well. The food, I’ve never experienced anything like it. Gorgeous Mediterranean cuisine prepared by people who are clearly passionate and knowledgeable of their culture, it’s what makes eating at places like this so special. For 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 drinks and 2 desserts, it came to a total of £70 which if you ask me is absolutely insane value for money! But honestly don’t just take my word for it, please go!!!!

Unfortunately the Red Kite seems to have gone downhill over the past year with regards to quality of food and speed of service \nWe enjoyed the food we had but not worth the prices charged\nWe waited 45 mins for our meal which was ridiculous but our server, Jakob, was amazing, nothing was too much trouble, he was friendly & chatty but he was rushed off his feet, one minute taking orders, next seating customers in the dining room, then serving behind the bar and then taking meals out to the tables ! They did appear to be short staffed and maybe the same in the kitchen due to the length of wait we had for our food

Last year, I left a review about how incredible the team at Hickory’s Smokehouse Horbury were when we booked a cabin to celebrate what would have been our good friend Paul’s 35th birthday after his passing. The kindness, thoughtfulness, and care they showed us during such a difficult time meant the world to our family and friends.

This year, we returned to celebrate him again, and once more the staff went above and beyond to make the evening truly special. Juice, Dave, and Rose looked after us so well—they were attentive, caring, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. Their warmth and understanding turned what could have been a very heavy occasion into one filled with smiles, laughter, and comfort.

We even managed to get our group photo with Juice and Dave, which has now become such a lovely tradition for us. It’s little moments like this that make a huge difference when you’re still navigating the loss of a loved one.

Beautiful food from the bowl of olives which came with a tasty small chopped salad, oil and dipping bread to the main courses which were rich and plentiful. We went to Prego for a special anniversary meal, as I'd noticed the various Chef's Specialities on the menu and found that there were great-sounding dishes that we could both have (I'm wheat intolerant and my wife can't have carbs, which obviously restricts us). We had a fantastic evening. The owner, Fatih, was fantastic and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. His colleagues were friendly and efficient. The setting and atmosphere were lovely and the food was exceptional. I had the smoked salmon and prawn starter (photo supplied), followed by sea bass fillets and (because it was a special occasion) the ice cream. My wife had the rib-eye steak followed by cheesecake. Everything about our visit was wonderful, and we'll certainly be going again.

Granted, I picked the king prawns but I was expecting more for the price than I received. There was a good amount of prawn in the dish but the overall flavours were subpar and the bread that came with it was tiny, felt slightly stale but was also soggy at the bottom. Was not impressed and won’t be returning.

Rich smooth and creamy without any burnt tastes or bitterness. I can't say I drink a lot of Costa, just tends to be white I'm travelling, but I've had some terrible cups made before and this was just the thing I needed first thing in the morning

We ate in here this time as every time we order for delivery things are missing or it's cold and soggy.
The chips seem to be going really downhill, although they were warm for once they were still brown and scabby..
Everything else was nice though for a change and everything I ordered came to my table. Dips and all.
So why are they not sent on my delivery orders?? (It's not this one where my delivery orders come from as it won't let me select this one, although I would if i could).
The amount of times I write in the comments to PLEASE PUT IN MY DIPS. For it to go completely ignored..
I mean I order dips because I enjoy my meal more with them so when they don't come and I've no sweet and sour for my nugs that's my tea ruined!
The bloke who brought my tray to me was very nice though can't fault him.
It was quite busy though, so a bit cramped in the doorway when trying to order food on them machines, and also trying to leave the building once we had finished.

We were greeted by lovely, friendly staff on arrival and instantly loved the décor. But of course, we came for the pies we’d heard so much about – and they did not disappoint!
I had the garlic chicken and mushroom pie with mash and peas, and it was absolutely delicious. My partner went for the minted lamb pie with dumplings, mash, and peas, and he was just as impressed.
The food is home-cooked, full of flavour, and very reasonably priced. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to again!

I managed to go regularly on a Monday once again many years ago and I had Chicken Korma with Naan and Salad and it was very Beautiful and Delicious and very Tasty indeed. The Vegetarian Options which include Mixed Vegetable Balti and Spinach are both very delicious and tasty indeed. All of the Staff including the Owner of this 5 Star Award Winning Restaurant whom all work in collaboration with each other are all very good role models in society themselves. All of the Staff including Abdul whom all work in Collaboration with each other have always provided me with very good customer service all of the time to the very best of their ability. There are other similar cafe's close by,but we've never had a poor experience so always head back . The menu is as would expect chicken burger, chicken piece meals and pizzas. I experienced chicken parmisan for the first time a few years ago there. In your late 40s it's great to find something that good in your local chicken cafe that is new.

The parfait was so soft and flavoursome, the blade of beef crumbled beautifully and was stuffed with flavour and the melting snitch at the end was a decadent treat!

Could not fault a single thing, the service was amazing, could easily hear my partner and have a conversation without raising my voice. Great value for both 2 and 3 courses. Would recommend to everyone!

Staff, AMAZING, all the girls very polity, quick service and very friendly. In the past week we visit 4 times.
Food: the chocolate cake was the best cake we ever had, moist, light and not too sweet. Amazing.
Atmosphere, relaxing and perfect for wind down after a busy day.

Had a nice Sunday lunch here as it was recommend by a friend, we were told to book in advance which I did via Facebook messenger and when we turned up we were asked if we had a table as they were fully booked so would recommend booking in advance. Food was nice, had the chicken roast dinner, staff very friendly. Would go back again if we are in the area. Horbury is a really lovely area with very friendly people.

Great interior, location and staff. The music was a bit too loud for a cosy sit down on Monday evening but I managed to communicate with friends. Defo recommending, and I'll return.
