Paid another visit to our local pub with friends and we may take it for granted so it's not until you bring friends here you realise how wonderful the pub, the staff and the food is. I'm terrible at leaving reviews when somewhere is very good I simply just come away and talk about it, it's only if somewhere is profoundly unacceptable I feel that I need to leave a review. So it was to my amazement to learn that a previous review had been written by someone in the village so negatively....read full review

Popped in for drinks but had a bowl of chips. Chips were delicious the atmosphere was lovely. Landlady's son was so friendly. Had not been there in a while but will go again soon. Next time for food as was told they do gluten free pies.
