The Riverside (Guest accommodation & coastal restaurant)
The Bridge, BoscastleWe dropped in for something to eat Monday just gone. Sat outside by the river. Glorious setting and super friendly staff. We both ordered cod and chips. When it came out to us we were a little disappointed. Fish was slightly over cooked and there just more batter than fish. And it had a bit of a funny taste. Chips seemed like oven chips you would buy from the supermarket and tasteless peas. I must say seeing what else was brought out to other tables looked really nice. So yes dissatisfied with our meal. And also £7 for a pint of larger. A little steep I think. Would I go again? Probably not.

The Rocket Store
The Rocket Store, The Harbour, BoscastleGot recommended this place as a “MUST VISIT” by our Airbnb host and let me tell you, they were not wrong!
Drove here from Bude after booking a table the day before which thank god we did because it was very busy. Had to wait 5 minutes for our table to be ready upon arrival where we were placed outside under heaters, given blankets and the menu was presented to us on a huge blackboard. Ordered a few lovely glasses of white and some cans of the local Cornish beer (name I has been forgotten…)
The food came in tapas style and one dish by one we were absolutely delighted. Starting off with the oysters which were stunningly fresh, to die for scallops, monkfish sashimi (WOW I COULD DIE!), hake with seaweed aioli and halibut drowning in champagne velute with a couple sides. Yes it was a lot and was very greedy but worth every single penny and luckily I’m a man with an endless appetite on holiday so I was frequently caught licking the plates.
Service from all the staff was amazing, very professional but chatty and friendly giving us recommendations for the next few days.
If you’re a seafood lover like us you HAVE to visit here I beg!!!

The Good Stuff
Harbour Light, BoscastleNeeded to leave a review to say the cortado coffee I had was the best I’ve had in the UK for a long time, I can’t stop thinking about it.
We also shared a cream tea between two as a snack while waiting for our associate witches to come out of the museum, and the scones were great too. Good service and nice people.
