Much improved but there is still room for considerable improvement and certainly no room for complacency. Stove has been a consistent anomaly since it first opened lacking a true identity and direction. Much of that was undoubtedly a lack of focus from management that never appeared to be present or if they were not conspicuous. This point still applies. Never had a bad meal. Staff are always very attentive and friendly. Service is quick. Food is tasty and a bit different from standard pub grub, so it's a nice change.Vegetarian options: Good few options for vegetarians. Think they offer vegan alternatives on some items.
We love visiting here and the current menu is probably the best they've had in a long time. Staff are always kind and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed the posh fish and chip butty, it could just do with something else on the plate to make it look more aesthetically pleasing given the cost for just a sandwich on a plate.
