We have eaten here twice in 5 days, (Wednesday and Sunday). On both occasions the food was very good and the staff were all friendly, helpful and made you feel welcome.The portion sizes are also good and both the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie delicious.I would definitely recommend it and we will be eating here again.

First time visited this place and was impressed. Place looked great inside and has a lovely river running beside it..seating outside allows you to enjoy this view.
Food was great ? all 3 of us really enjoyed the food. I had fish and chips and was banging.
Staff were brilliant. Really friendly and helpful and service was fast without being rushed.

One niggle, flat warm cola out of a massive bottle at that price was awful. At least put some ice in it or get a post mix.

Plenty left for the freezer.too. a lovely touch getting a complimentary naan bread

Came here as a group of 4 for lunch. We had already booked a table and were seated straight away. The service was very friendly and efficient with full table service. Nice ambience and not too busy. We all had the Sunday carvery which was probably the best Sunday lunch I have had in a long time (we all said the same)So fresh and plentiful. This place is a must visit. Would definitely recommend. We will be back for sure.

Was looking for a place to eat as we arrived in town quite late and this was the only place serving food. But it was AMAZING! We ordered a chicken bbq pizza, chicken tenders with chips, a garlic cheese bread, and a 2 piece chicken meal thing. The pizza was amazing, the chicken tenders were hit and delicious, but the garlic cheese bread was absolute perfection. I've never had better anywhere else.

On my visit into the town of Belper I called into this great little cafe, it's very comfortable and has a very pleasant atmosphere, it's a great place to relax and unwind...
There's also an upstairs dining area...
I just had a coffee and a small breakfast which was delicious ... The menu has a great choice of dishes to choose from and is very reasonably priced ...
If you find yourself in Belper which is a small Derbyshire town and you're wanting to spend a day here, then popping into the Bookcafe even if just for a cake and a coffee would be a great way to spend a very pleasant hour of your time ...
I'm definitely calling in again on my next trip to Belper and I'm sure so will you when you visit this wonderful little cafe...

Popped in after a night out for some food, the staff were lovely. So chatty and attentive. We paid £11 for 2 huge chicken burgers, chips and cheese. We went in to order and collect after seeing a lot of negative reviews about delivery. We arrived at 7.30-8pm on a Friday night. Quick, friendly, and polite service.

Food was outstanding. Not too greasy. Very well cooked and very tasty.

I can imagine that delivery would be awful considering Kilburn is quite small with probably no other companies that offer delivery so a total lack of drivers willing to go out and collect.

If you live in Kilburn then walk there and order. If you don't, I would advise you give it a miss as it sounds like you'll be waiting a good while for delivery.

But I would personally recommend.

We visited this lovely pub on a Sunday afternoon for a Sunday lunch, and a couple of drinks. We found the building to be beautiful and old, the tables were all set out nicely with enough space between them for dogs and prams etc. The staff were attentive, polite and well presented. The roasts were delicious, with extra proper gravy being an option which was very much appreciated. The atmosphere was warm and cosy and the seats were comfortable. We can't fault the place! We highly recommend this pub for meals and drinks with family and friends. A really competitive price for such gorgeous food - you won't regret trying this one out, we'll certainly be back.

This is now Niks Fish and Chips. We had a large order of 18 x small cod and chips and a side. The staff were friendly and helpful. I preordained and the whole thing went smoothly. The group loved the quality of the meals and everything was hot, which is no mean feat. Would definitely recommend.

Found this little chippy while on a hike. This is a real gem. ? The small cod and chips was a good portion, couldn't finish all by myself, hubby happily helped out.
We had mushy peas and curry sauce and they were amazing! All home-made and delicious. The fish was tasty and the batter was crispy and not greasy at all. The chips was nice too.
Freindly people, lovely place, you can eat in too. Don't miss it poeple, when you are in Ambergate!

Great place for interesting cask ales and cider. Old fashioned style, relaxed atmosphere good for conversation. Always a friendly welcome. Plum Porter Titanic a favourite here. Easy to miss but not hard to find. Walk up to the top of King Street, tucked away in the corner of Belper Market Place. Dog friendly :)

We visited tonight as I've not been for s few years and my partner has never been. What can I say it is still the same beautiful restaurant I've known and loved for years. The staff are extremely helpful and very polite and friendly and the food oh wow!! I dont normally eat crab or duck but the crab fishcakes and the duck main were absolutely beautiful ? and the desserts - wow! You excelled yourselves once again. Thank you so much. I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed this restaurant! As soon as we walked in we were made so welcome. It is set within a stunning area and the interior was just as lovely. Service was very much above average. I am a coeliac vegetarian so am always a bit nervous about the selection that'll be offered and if it has been prepared safely, definitely not a problem here as most things are gluten free. Husband had one of the greatest steaks in his life so he was happy bunny too. I cannot fault the place. Even the ice cream was a cut above the rest. What a wonderful dining experience we had. We've already spoke about planning another mini break just so we can eat here again.

We had dinner in this edge of town location. We loved the italian food choices, the atmosphere and the helpful and attentive staff. The Grade 2 listed building has a number of stairs to climb to arrive at the dining room but there is an alternative short route from the car park, which i am sure could be used for patrons with mobility problems. We discovered there are two car parks, one immediately on the right of the building plus one over the road. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area.
