Dawlish Warren, DawlishJust had a fantastic visit to Deans Place, everything was cooked fresh my double cheeseburger and chips was lovely. The staff were attentive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble and really made sure we had everything we needed

Two of us had the pad Thai, I had the Hor mok.
We were really pleased with the food, it was very tasty, and I can see why the Hor Mok is recommended, I would also definitely recommend it to others!

27 Brunswick Pl, DawlishBetter pizza than we've had at any chain ! The service man was very nice and it was only 15 mins for a dinner for four(although it was not busy at all). Prices are very worth it and there are good deals ! Would eat again.

Gurkha Restaurant
30 Park Rd, DawlishWe love the Gurkha restaurant! We live in Dawlish and every time we order from the Gurkha or have a meal in the restaurant it is an absolute treat. The food is delicious and the staff are lovely. By far our favourite restaurant in town! We had a family meal there recently for a birthday celebration and it was perfect! Always looking forward to our next visit.

40 Park Rd, DawlishHave been holidaying in dawlish warren for at least 6 years and have used these guys for delivery everytime, always accurate on delivery times and never had a mistake on the order, food is amazing and great value for money 4 large pizzas fees all 12 of us easily, wouldn't go anywhere else, keep up the great work guys!!!!!!

Beach Rd, Dawlish Warren, DawlishOur 3rd visit to this fabulous bar / restaurant right on the Dawlish Warren coastline. Lovely views and a fantastic dinner menu. Have visited at Halloween and Christmas now and the decorations are always fantastic. Drinks and food are tasty, plenty to choose from and reasonably priced, I had the pasta bolognaise with ragu beef which was delicious and my sons enjoyed their meals too. Friendly staff and tasty wine also - thanks for a great first night of our holiday Boathouse !

10 Brunswick Pl, DawlishThis pub is clearly popular with the locals who tend to fill the front bar and the outside benches. Inside there was plenty of room and we enjoyed our two visits. The food was well cooked and with good portions. The prices were very reasonable. We would happily return. The only fault we found was the choice and volume of the background music.

18 Fordens Ln, Holcombe, DawlishWarm and welcoming. Excellent choice of drinks and fairly priced, pleasant wines. The sandwiches come highly recommended for a light lunch, with the best local quality and generously served ingredients. No reason not to call in, if you’re in the area. I wish I had taken a photo. 2 Piermont Pl, DawlishHad dinner here whilst visiting on holiday, amazing food, service and staff. Husband is in a wheelchair and they couldn't have been more accomodating. Would definitely recommend, menu is extensive, something for everyone and very reasonably priced.

The Beach Bar
16 Piermont Pl, DawlishThis 'cafe' is really good. The location is perfect, with an arcade and Dawlish seafront not too far away. I did not purchase food whilst I was here, however I did purchase a drink, which I believe was either a frappe or a milkshake. It was nice and good value for money. If I were to come to Dawlish again, I would vist The Beach Bar again.

Oceans @Lady's Mile
HGWR+4G, Exeter Rd, Dawlish Warren, Dawlishyou know what. I've been coming here ever since I was just a 1 year old and now here we are 15 years later, having enjoyed our 2 weeks away. To the young lifeguard in the indoor pool with the black hair who looks like Barcelona player Pedri, keep doing your job man, your nan is proud of you !
Thankyou to james, jason, andy and all the other boys that have hosted my family in this park over the last 40 years, I'll be bringing my kids in a few years when I have them.

7 Port Rd, DawlishLong Story Short, Lyn and her team came to us at very short notice and did not hesitate to help out and cater for a garden Party for 100 friends. However what I did not realise was the Universe was sending me a "Catering Angel". She was not flustered to take me on at 2 weeks notice, her food was divine, presentation was fabulous and her attention to "TASTE" was exceptional. Her staff were all so charming & friendly, and she organised everything down to the cutlery. So many of my guests commented on how Fabulously Tasty all of the food was, from canopies, to the salads, to the meat and speciality vegan dishes. I have worked in Hospitality for over 20 years and would not hesitate to use Lyn again, AND recommend her Catering Company... plus she left my Kitchen Spotlessly cleaned and tidy after. Thank You Lyn

Hakaryu Chinese Takeaway
3 Warren Rd, Dawlish Warren, DawlishTried this Chinese to see what it was like while staying in Dawlish Warren, so glad we did, I found the food delicious, and price reasonable, can watch the chef cook your food while you wait pleasant lady who serves, cannot fault the food we ordered, in fact we ordered again week later before we went home, will definitely visit again when in Dawlish Warren next time. ??

3 Piermont Pl, DawlishVisited this chippy on Saturday whilst on a long weekend break. The lady that served me was just so kind and friendly. Place is very clean! But the fish and chips were absolutely stunning! I had gluten free and it was gorgeous and not any trouble to the staff when I requested it.The whole family agreed its the best fish and chips we've had. Unfortunately we live way to far away to make this a regular thing, but if you are passing by, you should definitely try this place. You wont be disappointed ?

S W Coast Path, DawlishGreat location to watch the waves come in while you eat. Outdoor seating only and was very busy but didn't take too long for table to become free. I had a tomato and basil focaccia bread and watched it be made fresh infront of me. It was delicious and tasted so fresh. The pizzas also looked amazing. Accepted cash.

There's plenty of choice of drinks to choose from.We had a quick lunch of chilli beef baked potato with salad that was delicious and nicely presented. The menu has plenty to choose from.
We will definitely be visiting the Lansdowne from now on when in town.

Sandy Ln, DawlishShooters helped me organise a charity fundraising event. They were so helpful. They suggested a race night and then organised people to run it and the printing of the programmes. I am so grateful. The night was a complete success and raised so much money. Shooters is really clean and tidy. It is also very reasonably priced. Thank you so much ??

33 The Strand, DawlishFound Reflections when wanting a coffee in the spring and decided to take visiting friends for lunch. What a find!!! The food is amazing and the staff are so helpful and friendly. They actually serve 'real' lemon meringue pie, just like mother used to make. The steak pie was wonderful too, not just 2 bits of pastry filled with gravy and a few bits of meat, but a pie with the whole plate covered with the steak and gravy. We went again for Sunday lunch. Prices are fair too. First choice for us if going out to eat.

Strand Hill, DawlishI actually thought this place was a cracker once I got over the trauma of the hill up to it. I should have went from the other side for less strain on the bod. It was not too busy on my visit and the beer was good with friendly locals and a pub the tourists may miss but worth the journey.

20-22 Queen St, DawlishWell after not being in Dawlish for 25yrs we stumbled on this chip shop and I can see why their ratings are so good. We ordered 3 meals and each one of us absolutely enjoyed, all 3 fish were nicely lightly battered and tasted fantastic.
When we visit down here again it will definitely be on our stops and recommend to friends and family.

My parents always order from here when I'm down visiting, food has always been high quality.
Reason for 4* review is the very recent (August 2024) increase in prices by up to £2 PER DISH! I've attached screenshots of the new menu.
I appreciate this is a coastal town so expect to pay a little more, but almost £10 per dish is a little excessive. Have your competitors increased by the same margins? If not I feel you may end up losing some business.

18 Piermont Pl, DawlishI had a take away from here at 1pm on a late September Friday and wow, the server greeted me and told me it would be 5mins as fish is cooked to order. Huge portion of very tasty cod and chips, at a decent price considering where it is and for the food being fresh and delicious! Great good and great service! Highly recommended!

The Old Mill Tea Room
23 Brunswick Pl, DawlishGreat place to have a cup of tea or hot chocolate. They have sandwiches and soup as well.
It is very cosy inside, there is a little garden outside too.
Kid-friendliness: They have placed a jug of water and glasses for anyone who feels thirsty after the delicious cake. I liked that little detail that gives a feeling of being welcome there.

15 The Strand, Dawlish1st time I visited mid-week for a coffee and a ciggy. Sat outside watching the world go by - decided I'd have a small breakfast as well as coffee. Lovely local produce, information on board inside as to source. Piping hot and cooked well - staff very attentive, but not in your face. Repeated again on the Sat as I had an hour to kill before train home - very busy, but still the great service and food - I did notice a 5 star notice, well deserved.
