The Swan Inn

Pillory Hill, Plymouth

Very impressed with our first visit to The Swan Inn today.
It's true that parking can be a challenge (we parked in the Tidal Park, which is a 5' stroll away) but our experience morecthan made up for it!
I would say that booking is essential - it is a popular pub with regular live music too.
You walknin straight off the road and you're greeted with a familiar English pub bar area.
Our seats were outside though in a heated shelter over the road, overlooking the river. I think there are 7 tables here - get one by the wall over the river. There are more tables outside the shelter too.
We were given menus which had lots of fresh produce as well as a soup of the day and catch of the day.
This year, we're choosing more starters over desserts and it was a good choice today.
We chose Arrancini, Salmon Mousse and Gyozas between the 3 of us!
For mains, 2 of us had the Hake and I had the Cajun chicken burger, which I have to say is the best burger I have had this week (having just returned from New Orleans too).
The atmosphere was good too (it was a ? day though!).
Service was very friendly and helpful ?.
With drinks and coffee it came to £122, which we were happy with.
(We returned to the car and found it hadn't been taken by the sea which was also a bonus.)
Highly recommend!
