Visited twice for dinner as was staying down the road on holiday. First night didn’t book as was a Monday, second we did book as was a Friday night and luckily got a table. Both evenings food was lovely! Food isn’t expensive so wasn’t sure what to expect as although pub is clean and cosy it is a traditional pub with sticky tables. Lovely Dartmoor village pub, serving good food, especially the pizza, sorry forgot to take the picture before I'd eaten it!?The landlady is excellent and the staff reflect her standards.Occasional live music nights, monthly quiz raising funds for community groups.Oh yes, there's also a good range of drinks to be had.?
A welcome lunchtime stop for a couple of beers & something to eat while on a circular walk. Although the first in the bar on a Monday around 1pm I was amazed to see how quickly the pub filled up with separate groups.......all wanting food so putting a potential strain on service but I didn't witness anything of the sort.......well done!
