93 High St, Halberton, TivertonSurprisingly good BBQ and Detroit-style pizza tucked away in Devon, in a bit of a run-down pub decorated with American nostalgia and playing classic rock'n'roll - and at bargain prices, too! Only drawback is the enormous takeaway-style menu which made it difficult to put together a selection of favourites for just 2 people without massively over-ordering. And don't expect any (non-fried) vegetables. But you won't leave hungry!

The Globe Inn
14-16 Lower Town, Sampford Peverell, TivertonCame here for a Sunday roast. Served in a carvery manner, but one where the staff dish for you rather than ‘do it yourself’ (always a sign it’s still quality).
Overall a very pleasant experience. Only drawback was they didn’t have our reservation despite having a booking confirmation. They had a table anyway so it was on this occasion just an admin error.

The Swans Neck Café
High St, Halberton, TivertonA feast to behold. Frittata, beetroot, cous cous, coleslaw, the freshest salad you could wish for, balsamic vinegar and garnish and a picture book view as you munch away. The coffee tops it off nicely.
We love the Swans Neck Café.
The staff are all lovely. So friendly.
We love the lasgne, cauliflower bakes and soups too. More of the same please.
