The Green Tree 1727

Fabulous pub with lots of character. We had a fantastic meal. The menu choices were varied and very competitively priced. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Great outside seating area. Would highly recommend and we will be coming back.

The Little Tap

Lovely friendly (dog friendly!) micro pub. Real ales, no lager except in bottles. No music, no pool, no food (except crisps). People who talk to each other!

We had my gender reveal of 40+ people here Saturday, can’t thank the staff enough! Every meal was beautiful, the staff were very helpful & friendly. Thank use very much x

The Black Horse Inn & Pitman’s Grill Restaurant

My daughters and I enjoyed a lovely stay at the Black Horse Inn in September on our girl's trip to London and Spennymoor. Our accommodations were very clean and updated. Our two queen beds were super comfy, plenty of fresh towels and toiletries were provided and the water was very hot- just like I like it!! We enjoyed several meals in the pub and of course the evening shenanigans with the family and the Tudhoe locals. Enjoyed trying the chips with sauces (unlike in the US) and the chicken parmesan with just delicious. Would love to be there sometime when we can enjoy the beer garden out back. A good time was had by all and we cannot wait to visit our bestie and her very hospitable family in the future!

Cottage Cafe

Having been from out of the area to work in Spennymoor I've tried the eating places localy. The cottage cafe comes by far on top really good food at a reasonable price the breakfasts are a must try spot on.definitely b back very soon.thanks tom

Express! Coffee Shop

I've been in this little cafe a couple of times now, and it is a gem of a place. Out of the way but well worth finding. The prices are great, the food is homely, and the staff are lovely and friendly,

Pedros Peri Grill

The place is very clean! The people on the front are very welcoming and friendly. The snack boxes are definitely worth the price!

Ash Tree

We've been here a few times now & we have never been disappointed at all. Over time we've had many Sunday lunches, evening meals & puddings, all served piping hot, great portions & most of all very tasty. The Pricing of the meals is really good too.

Place has gone down hill we used to get the munchie boxes last 1 was terrible so decided to go for something else toattaly dry and tasteless and also seemed like some parts may have been reheated I.e chips not good at all

Sunrise Fish Bar

First time buying from here, absolutely First class. Got battered burger and small chips.Burger was like saucer, stacks of fresh chunky chips (no scrappy bits), really delicious.

The Grand Electric Hall - JD Wetherspoon

A spennymoor classic. If you want a cheap pint and some wetherspoons classic scran then go down and fill your boots. Shame the three small plates keeps going up in price but still my go to because im a fat knacker but yeah its a wetherspoons its a busy one at times too!

Peking Chef

Food and service are always outstanding, simply cannot be faulted. The fact this Take-away is not rated higher is atrocious. Without doubt the best Chinese Takeaway in the area.

Clems Fish Restaurant

Not a massive fish and chip fan but i had one from here and let me tell you it was fantastic! Staff were spot on and dead helpful, i had a cod and chips a battered sausage with curry sauce and scraps it was a beauty! You can sit in or do takeaway. Parking can be tricky as its on a street it just depends when you go. Would recommend

Happy Valley

Always lovely food, reasonable prices, great portion sizes, freebies whenever you spend a certain amount too. Our go to Chinese over the last 2 years and never a bad meal! Would absolutely recommend the chicken in honey and black pepper sauce

Sunnys Fish Inn

Had cod and chips with pizza and mixed wrap. Received good quantity which I obviously didn't expect and food was quite quick and very tasty. Must try and I recommend everyone to have.

I ordered pizza and kebab and both were wonderful. I chatted with the owner while waiting for my order and he was very friendly. It was a great experience and I would definitely eat here again.

Pizza Time

Loads of food for cheap, tasty, curry sauce is amazing, garlic bread is nice and garlicky. Large portions for price. Friendly staff, compliment my hat or say nice things. The owner Keyvan is a lovely gentle and kind man. Also good vegetarian options. Will also go here always if I want takeaway this isn’t Chinese.

Fox Cub

Went to the Fox Cub today for a meal. Food was lovely and service was brilliant. Evie was super polite and friendly. We ordered a chocolate brownie sundae, which was amazing and made by jasmine. Thank you for a lovely experience.
