THE ROYAL BREAKFAST & KEBAB
R6FG+38, CheltenhamWe wanted to try this highly reviewed spot and it didn't disappoint! Stopped on the way to Gloucester and received generous portions of tasty food with friendly service. Ate our döners standing at the window of the van, couldn't help but make a mess with just a fork. Would definitely go again!

Smiths
Smiths, Victoria St, CheltenhamYou have to come here! They serve the most delicious burgers ever. If I could eat here everyday and night I would! The atmosphere is great- we sat in the garden with our dog and it’s lovely. The Waiting staff are really welcoming and friendly and hard working. Our waitress brought water for our dog and was very sweet with her which made us feel very comfortable. A lovely experience, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend smiths to anyone.

Bakery on the Water
1 Sherborne St, Bourton-on-the-Water, CheltenhamCold Cappuccino. Unfortunately the drink came out only just warm even on the 3rd time although we asked for it extra hot. Ordered the Granola yoghurt breakfast and full English which were good

Cotswolds Distillery Shop
2, The Forge, High St, Bourton-on-the-WaterI visited the @CotswoldsDistil last Saturday and it was unforgettable. Set in stunning countryside, the distillery feels rooted in its landscape – stone cottages, rolling fields, and whisky that carries those same floral, herbal notes. The drams were rich with honey, orchard fruit and spice, smooth yet full of character. What stood out most was the passion of the team – every cask and every pour told a story. If you love whisky, this place is a must.

Venezia Italian Restaurant Bourton
Riverside, Bourton-on-the-Water, CheltenhamThe food was amazing. Very well prepared and a lovely presentation. However they lack in courtesy to dining guests. We were ignored for what seemed a very long time before they acknowledged our presence. Servers came and went without saying anything. Unfortunately for a family run restaurant.

JACKSON'S APARTMENT
Moore Rd, Bourton-on-the-Water, CheltenhamThis was by far a great choice for our family. The apartment is spacious and clean. It is super central to the small village so ideally located. The apartment has everything you need from a fully fitted kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a lovely lounge and dining room. The beds were super comfy, we just loved them! Everything about this apartment was perfect. The only hiccup was as foreigners we did not know how to use the heating system correctly, so clear info concerning that would be great. Would recommend!

Aroma Bangladeshi Restaurant and Takeaway
Station Rd, Bourton-on-the-Water, CheltenhamWhat an excellent curryhouse. I attended Aromas with a few of my UK friends who are serious curry afficionados All stated that their curry dishes were the best curries they have had in the UK for more than ten years. We sat upstairs in a charming restaurant and were warmly attended to by the owner Abdul. If you in Bourton this is a must visit. I still have the wonderful flavours stored in my taste memory bank. Thanks again Abdul for your warm friendship I will be back when we next return from South Africa

The Mousetrap Inn
Lansdowne, Lansdown, Bourton-on-the-Water, CheltenhamServers are really nice! I loved the sourdough and hummus. You walk in think it is just going to be a normal pub, but it seems like a really nice restaurant and it's beautiful with all the flowers.

Green & Pleasant Tea Rooms
Windrush Cottage, Riverside, CheltenhamSituated in the charming Burton on the Water, this cafe is an ideal spot for breakfast or brunch. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, complete with ambient lighting that adds to the authentic old-English cafe vibe. The staff is not only friendly but also attentive. The menu offers a good range of options at reasonable prices. I opted for the fish and chips, which I’d rate a 6.5 out of 10. One drawback was the cleanliness of the utensils, prompting me to eat with my hands instead.Overall, this is a cozy establishment where you can enjoy quality time in a comfortable setting.
