Absolute gem of a pub. Service was amazing, food was great and the ale was perfect. We visited as we were looking for a dog walk followed by a pub lunch… the website features walks from the pub for multiple different difficulty levels. We can’t wait to return and complete some of the longer walks, lovely atmosphere, log fires and attentive staff. 10/10 from us!
Superb in every way. We were a group of 10 and we stopped here for lunch. What a great choice! The mains were so good that we got tempted into having puddings, which were even better! I reckon you can't go wrong here, probably everything on the menu is going to be nice. Good beer too, and great service. It's a pleasure to see a pub being run this well.

Went here after a 10km walk around the area, didn't book, but took a chance. Glad we did, food was fabulous. Great hone made food, scrumptious desserts, and great hospitality. A really nice touch, having Triv question cards on the table to spark conversation and to entertain. I would definitely go back.
