Such a lovely afternoon spent at the Heavenly Kitchen. The menu was made to make it difficult to choose but we managed it and made some excellent selections. We would particularly recommend the Halloumi fries, delicious steaks and cheesy mushrooms, yummmmm.
Those who were not driving took a quick boogy to the bar for a refreshing lemoncello shot and we finished everything off with a magnificent Eton mess (again, it was very hard to choose). Migena, was a fantastic host, joining in the merriment and enjoying our beautiful singing.

We eat at the R&C almost weekly always with our little dog in tow, who is made very welcome.
They serve lovely food and the service is always very friendly and super efficient.

Midweek dinner to celebrate a birthday, second visit and it didn't disappoint, We didn't know it was a Banquet night which sometime brings horrors of short portions.
But no it was great value, all the food was tasty well flavoured to what the menu said, so hot = stinger etc. you know Indian you get the gist. Service was extremely good, attentive and friendly.
Recommend, yes absolutely this is the best Indian a large surrounding area.

Having moved into the area very recently, we wanted to find our new 'go to' Indian restaurant. We arrived without booking on a very busy Sunday evening. We were still welcomed, served quickly (but not rushed), and all of our dishes were exceptional. Thank you Curry Palace for such an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

It was fine but not the best fish and chips I've had. They use grease paper not newspaper in the boxes which made the fries stick to it and literally get welded and same with the fish. Also they vinegar the chips for you which is okay but they were pretty light on them. Condiments are 60p each which is kinda wild, so I'd say bring your own. Nice quick service though and the things I could unstick from the grease paper were nice.

Quiet Thursday visit, but friendly, lots of TVs for sports, darts and automated dart virual setup which is cool. Chef was brilliant, made us some lovely fresh food, and tailored it to what we wanted! Recommend the food, looking forward to trying the roast!

They Interacted with my baby in the most lovely way, checking in with us to make sure everything was alright and the food was fabulous. We wanted a quieter restaurant with great food, and this was perfect, we were celebrating a birthday and the pub put up some decorations for us which was a nice touch, the chef came out to speak to our party as one of us was gluten free and he told us which dishes he could do for her from the specials and also the main menu mentioned gluten free dishes. The food was fabulous, fresh and tasty, well presented and the service was so attentive, witty and not intrusive, we were not rushed at all. The only thing that does annoy me is restaurants adding a service charge. We would have left a good tip anyway. We would go back for the experience we had, AAA+++

We were pleasantly surprised by the rooms when we checked in. Clean, tidy with comfy beds and amenities. The pub itself is lovely, serving amazing food, but the real asset to the place is the staff! Even with some tricky customers they handled everything so well, we're super friendly and made our stay so much fun! Would 100% recommend and return.

A must visit pub in Alton! Conveniently right by the train station (hence the name!) and with some delightful railway related features out front and in the garden. Good selection of drinks and nibbles, warm fires and a decent games room with pool table and darts etc. I wish the patio heaters would stay on longer in winter before resetting and watch the train tracks out back when wet, they can be slippery!

My boyfriend dragged me there for the bike shop. To my absolute amazement and surprise; there’s a burger grill area outside. It smelled absolute fabulous ! The sauce is homemade, so are the burger patties and the onion ! The best bbq ever. He’s getting a bike service next week, I’m coming back for the food ?

We ordered takeaway from Alton Gurkha for the 1st time today and we weren't disappointed.
The food is amazing and there's plenty of it, enough for lunch tomorrow! The naan bread was so fresh, the best we've tried. Lots of meat in the meals and cooked to perfection.
We'll most definitely be ordering from here again.

The Castle Of Comfort

Our first impression of this pub was that it had a lovely country feel. And that is exactly what it is. Inside there was wooden beams and pictures of how the pub looked many years ago.
The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff
could not of been more accommodating.
We noticed the large garden with a huge cover to shade a large section. There was also a children’s play area with plenty of benches to really soak in the atmosphere.
We cannot thank Simon, Ellie and their team for their hospitality.
We will definitely be returning.

One off thing is the pricing on the breakfasts, such small differences in price versus what's on offer. Given Spoons is down the road, lowering the pricing of the smaller breakfast to stay marginally competitive might be worth a shout.
