Original White Hart by Marston's Inns
Market Pl, RingwoodVery helpful and just-right service - from reception when I arrived, to ordering my dinner (which I was so glad to be able to have in my room) to breakfast. It was very nice having table service and breakfast was just what I wanted (there was a good choice to choose from). I was mostly served by David who was very efficient and capable. All the staff I spoke to were nice.
The bed (mattress) was exceptionally good and I was able to sleep very well - it was quiet and also the right temperature as I was to have my window open.
The carpark was very convenient for my hotel room.

35 Hightown Rd, RingwoodWe had a lovely meal the Burgers were great however, our experience with the first waitress wasn’t great, she came across as quite cold and blunt, which made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Old Beams Inn
New Forest National park, Salisbury Rd, Ibsley, RingwoodOut for a drive with the wife, and I remembered, as a child, that the "Old Beams" was only a very posh restaurant, not a pub. Obviously times have changed ( for me, definitely for the better ) and it looked very festive, festooned with attractive lights. So much that we had to stop. Limited parking, but we found a space. We arrived at about 4pm on a Wednesday. My wife, as always, headed towards a lovely glowing fire, while I got the drinks. Ordered a Peroni with a lemonade top for the good lady and a great choice of ales for me. One in particular stood out, an "Old Beams" from Sixpenny Handley Brewery, brewed especially for this establishment. I had to try it and thankfully Jess found me a dimpled handle. Both drinks were a little more expensive than normal, but I overlooked that, as mine was divine and at a near perfect 12.4 degrees. " Nerd Alert". I have never seen my wife looking so relaxed before, and she said the tub chair was so comfortable she could sit there for hours. The usual Christmas tunes were softly playing in the background, and we could still have a conversation without shouting. Whilst I was sat there, a nearby diner was tucking into a meat pie, which was giving off a salivating aroma, showing that it had been made with love. In all, a lovely visit, helped along by the beautiful interior and the lovely service by Jess. The best bit? .......only 20 minutes from our house ! We shall return !

We stumbled across this place after a long, sunny, and exhausting day at Peppa Pig World, and it turned out to be the perfect spot to unwind. The atmosphere was welcoming, with friendly staff and a clear sense of it being a well-run family business. The food was exceptional and offered great value for money. Queen's Head
The Cross, Burley, RingwoodWe came across this after walking over from our campsite, it was the first pub we saw.
We were able to get a table for 6 indoors immediately but were informed there was a slight wait for food. By the time we ordered and they delivered drinks we could order so no real long wait. The food was very good across a variety of the lunch options we ordered, mainly from the sandwich selection and the special cocktails were highly recommended by my wife.
Worth a visit and if you’re lucky you might get served by the amazing Eleanor who is one of the loveliest waitresses and person we’ve come across.

BakeHouse24
BakeHouse24, Lynes Ln, RingwoodWe stumbled across this whilst walking through the town of Ringwood. Very friendly staff and dog friendly with treats at the counter. \n\nThe bread looks lovely. We got a cinnamon bun, oat and raisin cookie and two cappuccinos. It is a very friendly atmosphere, lots of people chatting and or working using the free wifi. \n\nIf i were to compare it to any other company i guess its most similar to a gails bakery. However although there are similarities it is a more personable place, its an independent business which supports local produce, better pricing although still london pricing. \n\nAll in all worth a stop off during a walk around ringwood and a pleasant experience.

Go again: yes
On entering, there is no sign telling people what to do, did not know if we just sat, wait or went to the bar. Waiting did nothing so… to the bar.
Maître’d and/ or sign would be good…
That said, the rest of the experience was nearly flawless.
It has been at least ten years since I ate here last. There is now a simplified menu, unlike most Indian restaurants. Everything you need to enjoy a meal, but without the complications.
Popadoms and accompliments were swift to arrive, shortly followed by a beverage and order.
The food was really good, I found the lime pickle too overpowering, but in small amounts it was very tasty.
The mains, well truly great… (personally the madras was very mild, tikka masala in heat). But the flavours are really good.
I am one to try the side dishes, but they were so good I ate them all (I regret this now lol), mains were to perfection.
So to the marked down parts, and by no means this is not a reason not to visit.
Attentiveness: had to ask for more drinks, no check on how the meal was.
Honestly; that is it!
Nothing I could fault… other than me leaving it ten years to come again, thank you for a great meal.

Poulner Fish & Chips
4 Butlers Ln, RingwoodI had to.
I had to EAT. And I dare by way of venture to the mighty Poulner fish and chips and I was met with a bevy of kind, believing men (and ladies) helping the community in decency and care.
I was especially bowled over by the lady with the gilded eyes, and our brother from another space time mother, who is always a joy and a pleasure. All of them in fact, cubed.
I went for a sausage, and a bag of chips, and my guts were filled with worthy goodness made more wonderful by the display, faith, integrity, and efforts, of good men.
Well done, and thank you.

Burley Stores
Ringwood Rd, Burley, RingwoodThey have a really good selection of pasties and sausage rolls, also catering well for vegetarians and vegans. I tried their vegan Cornish pasty and it was really good. My husband had the steak and stilton pasty and also really enjoyed it. Both had a plentiful, tasty and well seasoned filling as well as tasty, crusty pastry. They also serve good coffee with a choice of milk and milk alternatives for vegans or lactose intolerant.

Reeve The Baker
30A High St, RingwoodOur family just love Reeves and we have been loyal customers for decades. \n\nI’m leaving this review just to say that for the first time this Xmas we were somewhat disappointed with the mince pies. Although they had a lovely flavour and were nicely full, the pastry appeared underbaked (especially the bottom) and it was impossible to remove the pie from the silver foil base cleanly, as each time, the pie just was too weak and crumbled all over the place. Half the base would just break away be stuck to the foil which was really frustrating as we have never encountered this before with any other mince pies. It real gave the impression that the pies were undercooked which left the pastry weak.\n\nPlease could someone look at this issue ready for next year!\n\nWe of course will remain loyal customers as the staff are great.
