The Kings Arms
King St, TringThis is a super public house nestled slightly off the beaten track in the heart of the backstreets of Tring. We always make an effort to have a few beers and a Sunday lunch here whenever we visit from Northern England to catch up with family members who live locally.\nThe pub caters for locals and visitors alike and offers a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. It has a fine selection of local beers and impressive gin offerings, including their own labels distilled in their courtyard!!\nThe Sunday lunches are of excellent quality for the price, you won’t be disappointed, but I’d advise booking, as whenever we visit I’ve often noticed it’s a popular choice ?

The Espresso Lounge ltd
65 High St, TringWe were intrigued to try the Espresso Lounge as we saw that it was a small ethical business run by a husband and wife and products were organic or locally sourced, and we love to support these kind of ventures.
We came for breakfast today. Parking was easy and although we paid to park on the street, we found that there was 1 hour of free parking available in the car park across the street.
On arrival, we were warmly greeted by Aron who was incredibly friendly, and after ordering at the bar, sat on the banquette seating which was very comfortable. The ambience was lovely and the restaurant was busy, yet not full. We ordered a black Americano and a Flat white, and we both ordered the Classic TEL smashed Avocado with 2 poached eggs.
My flat white was excellent but the Americano, although a lovely flavour, was a little weak for my partner. The dishes were very well presented and tasty. Full marks to the seeded bread, the cherry tomatoes and the avocado! One of my poached eggs was a little underdone - but I'd far rather that, than it being overdone.
If I have any gripes, they were that the cutlery felt cheap and uncomfortable to use, and when we asked for salt and pepper, rather than receiving a cruet set which would be expected at this type of establishment, a Kirkland pepper mill and coarse salt in a paper sauce pot arrived. Little things, easy to amend, which if changed would make a massive difference.
The wall adjacent to us in the restaurant was tired and marked. Again, something really small that should be easy to correct.
However the toilet was very clean and sparkling!
Finally we purchased one of the incredible cinnamon buns to take away, which I am eating as I write this. It's lovely!
Overall our experience was very positive and we will be returning in the future. Thank you to Aron and the other waiter who were both delightful.

The Robin Hood
1 Brook St, TringWhat a brilliant pub; best one I've visited in the area. Absolutely packed with entire families and a very broad range of ages. Everyone talking to one another irrespective of if you are a regular or not. Lovely selection on cask. Phenomenal proprietors [for the past 20 odd years] great visionaries and leaders - a rarity these days!! Very highly recommend and we plan to return very soon!!

Pheriwala
53A High St, TringWe love Pheriwala. We have been a few times now, each time travelling 200 miles from York. (Well, OK, our son lives near Tring). But we make a point of having a family meal here. It's authentic 'street food', lovely Chennai and Kerala specialities, perfectly prepared, well-balanced and subtle flavours. The staff are all knowledgeable and helpful, the atmosphere relaxed and informal. We unreservedly recommend Pheriwala for your next Indian, anywhere within a 200 mile radius.

Da Vinci Restaurant Pizzeria
43 Frogmore St, TringWhat a gem of a restaurant!
We came for lunch as a party of nine on Sunday afternoon and were warmly welcomed. The lady who served us was incredibly attentive and kind, especially towards the three children in our group. She was also wonderfully considerate with my mother-in-law, giving her extra time to be seated and enjoy her meal at her own pace.
The children’s food was served first — something I really appreciate — and they all cleared their plates. We enjoyed both starters and mains, and every single person in our party commented on how excellent the food was. The prices were surprisingly reasonable, offering outstanding value for money.
We ended our meal with coffee and delicious desserts, feeling thoroughly impressed from start to finish. We can't wait to come back!

The Black Horse Tring
Frogmore St, TringA local pub for many in the area. Everyone knew each other! Sunday roast was just okay with parts of the meal tasting like it was reheated and served e.g. the roast potatoes. However portion sizes was decent.

Bhujon
12 Miswell Ln, TringBhujon is Takeaway Only. The food I ordered came in less than the 10 minutes I was told to expect. Because it was my first time, I ‘chickened out’ and instead of my preferred lamb, I ordered Chicken Gundi, Tara Dal, and a plain Na’an bread. I imagined pieces of dark chicken meat, but instead and to my delight and surprise, the dish was of large chicken breast chunks in a mild tomato based sauce with peas. It was delicious. The Dal was equally superb. And when I opened the Na’an bag I found not one but two breads! There was also a free Papadam. The whole meal was frankly wonderful and more than enough for two servings! I’ll be back.

PAMS
64 High St, TringMy boyfriend and I live in Bedfordshire and we had traveled to tring for a little weekend getaway, upon leaving the area we chose to purchase from P.A.M.S for our lunch. We most certainly will be travelling to and from Tring just for P.A.M.S in the future despite the journey. The best panini I have ever eaten, amazing portion size and absolutely delicious, definitely worth the price. We throughly enjoyed our food and the staff member who took our order at the counter was lovely, even complimenting my lashes and was just super friendly. I am a massive fan of this establishment and wish you all the best for the future, see you again soon! ❤️

Premier Inn Tring
Tring Hill, TringSecond time in a couple of weeks staying here for family celebrations and I have to say, we found our room to be really comfortable. We did try and book an accessible room for our 2nd stay but, when we found that the bed was smaller and much lower, the lady on reception was most helpful and moved us into the same room we'd had on our previous visit.
The room was comfortable and clean. Big mugs for cups of tea and a sensible sized kettle - excellent! A window that opened to give us fresh air. The bed was VERY comfy, one of the most comfortable I've found on our travels. We always turn the duvet round 90 degrees and find they fit better that way.
Nice products in the bathroom but I wish Premier Inn would replace the baths with walk in showers - it would make almost every room accessible. That's the only criticism of the room.
The Crow's Nest Beefeater adjoining was good too. We had dinner there on our last visit, which was nice even if the staff were under pressure on a busy night. Breakfast both times very nice, freshly cooked brekky for hubby and plentiful continental for me with lots of choices of jams and spreads - always good to see Marmite in my book! Crumpets, muffins, croissants, pain au chocolate as well as toast. Lovely porridge, plenty of cereal choices, fresh fruit, yoghurt...everything you could want. Staff all very friendly on every visit - maybe look at an extra coffee machine for breakfast though as people were queueing for the only machine.
I've no doubt we'll be back in the future with the family connection in the area now and we won't have any hesitation in re-booking.

Crows Nest Beefeater
Tring Hill, TringThis Beefeater in Tring stands out largely due to its stunning location and I must say the exceptional new manager. His warm, welcoming demeanour and care for customers create a positive atmosphere and dining experience. It can get exceptionally busy here at times but every time I have been, the team of staff here do well to ensure consistently delicious food, and excellent service. This Crows Nest Beefeater is for anyone seeking great food, outstanding service and a perfect garden view (during spring & summer months.) There is also a kids play area outside.
