55 Union St, RydeThis restaurant is amazing ? by far one of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time!. The manager Michael is superb, looked after us and even welcomed us back with a complimentary coffee ☕️, this guy seriously knows how look after his customers and works very hard and tirelessly to provide a great atmosphere, the owner is very lucky to have him, very very impressed!!. The food was excellent ? and presentation and taste both amazing.
The young waiter was great also, very helpful and of course a great sense of humour, well done to both I will definitely recommend the restaurant to both family and friends.
Thank you for your hospitality and both myself and partner look forward to returning when we come back to the island!

Crepe Lovers Uk
21 High St, RydeReally great creperie and the staff just can't do enough for you, they're super attentive and really helpful. They also have a manual espresso machine which these days is a rarity. Great coffee, nice atmosphere and huge portions. We had the La Bretagne which included a side salad and crisps. There was a perfectly cooked egg in the centre flanked by juicy mushrooms and melted camembert. Our kids enjoyed the Kinder meal deal and absolutely demolished it which is high praise as one of them is only two ? I would definitely recommend you check them out if you're in or near Ryde

Ryde Thai
4 Union St, RydeI have eaten here three times (so far) and been impressed every time. My husband and I spent a couple of years in Thailand and Baan Thai offers the most authentic thai food we have eaten in the UK. The food is fresh, delicious and good value and served with a smile. I highly recommend this restaurant.

32-33 Union St, RydeCame here for dinner as a solo diner, it was absolutely delicious.
Staff were attentive and friendly without being over the top.
Prawns to start, you get 4 in a portion, honestly cooked perfectly, spice level was just right, still thinking about them now. Reminded me of something we used to cook in Italy!
Beef Tagliatelle for main - sauce was perfectly seasoned and steak was nice.
Tiramisu for dessert as suggested by one of the staff and it was yum!
I will definitely be returning! Thank you for a lovely evening
Ohh and they make a great pornstar martini !

111 Fishbourne Ln, RydeWe stayed 5 nights at this lovely inn in July and then moved onto East Sussex, Kent, Suffolk and Yorkshire - a 5-week trip in total from Perth, Western Australia. Of all the fine pub meals we enjoyed on our holiday the absolute standout dinner was the Fishbourne Inn’s Sunday Nut Roast with all the trimmings! So delicious, just had to share this ?

14 Esplanade, RydeOrdered a delivery, firstly the delivery driver called before leaving (we weren’t a standard address) to check where we were, and gave exact timings for being with us, very proffessional. Secondly the food was off the chart, super light batter on the fish, halloumi, babybel, garlic mushrooms and the chips just wow!!! Everyone very, very happy

The service is amazing, friendly and welcoming. A lovely find and will definitely come back to next time we’re on the island. Highly recommend 5*

The Ryde Castle
Esplanade, RydeLovely hotel right on the sea front looking out towards Plymouth. The room I had was on the 2 floor with amazing views over the channel. The room itself had a great look and feel. With a comfortable bed full bath with shower. The TV was a little dated and small for the room and bits were in need of modernization but overall a lovely room.
The staff I interacted with were great always happy to help.
The food in the restaurant was your typical pub grub. Cooked to a high standard.
The one thing that lets the hotel down is the house keeping. There is no attention to detail from the cleaners at all. This is the reason for the 4 stars not 5. Sort the housekeeping and the place would be perfect.

Everything served up in a welcoming and comfortable environment, in a charming old Georgian building. We felt very well looked after and will definitely be returning. A real find in Ryde.

Our food was piping hot and so so tasty. The portions were very generous and completely filled us up.

2 Union St, RydeAbsolutely love and would recommend the Cake Kitchen to anyone anyway, but ordered a special cake for my mum’s birthday today and they definitely delivered!!! I requested a lemon and elderflower cake, with photo references, the CK were able to recommend to me the best choice of filling, and alter the request to what I wanted. For example, my mum isn’t too keen on icing, so I was recommended a semi-naked cake, and shown pictures of what that looks like. When I went to pick up the ladies working told me how to store it, how to make sure it gets home safe!!! And assured me it had been in the fridge all day to keep from the heat ? the cake is beautiful and even better than anything I asked for. And so delicious! Thank you! Really friendly, really helpful, and amazing cakes ? thank you x

Bar prices were less than expected for such a beautiful establishment.
Attention to detail was 1st rate in the bar area. Sadly this level of cleanliness did not extend to the female toilets. If only the same attention to cleanliness displayed in the bar was extended to the toilets.
Although we did not eat the food we saw looked beautiful and the 5☆ food hygiene rating is clear evidence of this. It is just a shame about the toilets.

Harbour House
Esplanade, RydeAfter a few days on the island, we looked for the best cod and chips for lunch. On our last day we visited Harbour House in Ryde. We had the best cod and chips and wonderful home made tartar sauce I have ever had, we also had wonderful views and delicious cocktails. We were looked after by Karlos and Jasmine, nothing was too much, and will definitely be back. ❤️

Bluebells Café
Farm, Briddlesford Rd, Wootton Bridge, Island of Wight, RydeWe came across this cafe while visiting one of the animal sanctuaries on the island and it was our place to go for lunch if we were close by. The food was well presented and very tasty and our granddaughter obviously enjoyed her toasted sandwiches as she devoured them. Our grandson thought the mac and cheese was the best he had and the sausage baps were delicious. As well as visiting the cafe and farm shop our daughter and grandchildren took part in a tour of the farm on Welly Wednesday, where they were told how a working farm operates.

30 St. Thomas St, RydeWe couldn't book a table as the restaurant was fully booked for a private event but Michelangelo's didn't disappointment. We were able to arrange to pick up food as a take away, but only after asking permission from the kitchen first. We were able to head down to the restaurant to collect the food after 1 hour. Everything was lovely. Carbonara was a hit with the men, Risotto Piemontese was beautiful for me and is one of my favourite Italian meals on any day, with a pizza Giovanni for the last person in the group. Gorgeous food and fantastic customer service to accommodate us without hesitation - but not before checking with the kitchen first which was a kind gesture, and amazing to hear the "negotiation" in Italian over the phone by the female wait staff with the "kitchen" as she gently persuaded them into doing the takeaway for us while the restaurant was very busy and fully booked out. We didn't even tell them it was for a family birthday dinner, they just accommodated our request. We are looking forward to dining there in the restaurant properly next time if they are this attentive and deliver this level of customer service for a takeaway. How amazing must it be to be served and looked after in the restaurant. I can't wait to find out.

Appley Ln, RydeNice drinks after a coastal walk between Ryde and Puckpool. Brought back some memories of childhood holidays on the beach on the Island sitting here looking out across the Solent. Good service and a nice drink pit stop.
