We had a wonderful date night here on Thursday. Rob greeted us warmly and he took great care of us all evening with his friendly check inside,making sure we had the perfect evening. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and had a lovely ambience. Our food was delicious and well presented - huge thanks to Rob the chef's and our servers - we will definitely be back xxxx

Fantastic chippy.
Visited Hearne Bay for our anniversary and googled best fish and chip shop. And this one didn’t disappoint.

Fantastic chips and lovely fish. Sat by the sea front and ate it. Couldn’t ask for anything better!

Starfish Bar

Great little chippy. Fish cooked to order and was very good, lovely fish and batter. Great curry sauce to.
Served by a friendly man with a bit of banter on the side.

A Casa Mia

A Casa Mia delivered us 30 delicious, piping hot pizzas at Puddledocks campsite. They were so helpful taking such a large order and all the pizzas were an absolute hit. Delicious toppings and a perfect crust. Highly recommended for a big group delivery, including vegetarian and gluten free options.

Pops Jerk

our first time trying pops jerk, BAM!...food was banging, big up to Nicole, gwan gal, the only ting better than the food was the company, good vibes, good choonz courtesy of Damo and Anna, and Charly, can't wait to go back I think this place will be on the regular, thanx guys xxxx

Coconut Tree Noodle Bar

As always excellent food freshly cooked would recommend the squid delish, enjoyed tofu , crispy noodles and a super complimentary pudding - lovely staff who looked after our dietary requirements.

Having been going to get my burgers/kebabs as well as our Fish and Chips since moving here 4 years ago. Never had a bad meal and always portions larger than I need. Once, when closed on a bank holiday, i went into Herne Bay as I fancied F&C. Glad I had my credit card with me, didn’t know the difference in price to Beltinge, 20-30% MORE. If your of “more mature” years like myself, give the OAP portions a try, more than enough Fish, Chips and mushy peas for £8. Parking can be a but hit and miss and you will have to wait while fish cooked, as sometimes he can’t keep up! Not surprising though

It was OK. Jacket with cheese. The salad that came with it was a full salad I could have eaten it as a meal! I really can't complain. Definitely not gourmet but hey ho , cheap , cheerful and filled a gap .

Was a little bit disappointed as I had heard it was quite good.
Food was okay
Service was a bit slow considering the number of guests.
Thought it would have been busier!
Will possibly go in again, but I won't rush to do so.

The Kings Fish Bar

The servers worked really hard to prepare a large order of hot sushi and the presentation taste and timing was perfect! As it was a large order I pre o ordered and paid a few hours earlier for them to have time to prepare it. They were punctual and the food was hot when it arrived home. It was so delicious we had E-bike Fry Chicken Katsu Tori Kara and all of the different flavours gyoza a: pork duck chicken and vegetable. There are also honey chicken wings. The price is good as it is traditional Japanese food served in Japanese take away containers with real Japanese wari bashi chopsticks- thank you Kings- you are King!!!!

Direct Pizza | Herne Bay

Great pizzas and delicious crispy chips. They're quick to respond on collection orders and have really friendly staff with fantastic customer service.
They also have really good value for money on their meal/sharer deals, especially with the discount on collections.

La Friends Pizzeria

Ordered through just eat tonight, absolutely spot on order, arrived steaming which is brilliant and exactly what I wanna see when you open the delivery bag, app said it would be delivered by 7:30 but it arrived at 7:00 so really can’t complain about that, and £35 for a family of 4, absolutely smashed it thank you la friends

Oyster and Chop House

Came starving from a day's golf. Ate everything on the menu and it's all delicious. The anchovies on salsa pinxo were a highlight as were the oysters. But you can't go wrong. Wine was great, as were Jeff and Elena's hosting. The old-fashioned was astonishing and potent. Can't wait to go back

Tasty fresh fragrant food.Used this Chinese rather than my usual and im glad I did!Great selection, beautifully cooked and lots of meat in all dishes...I will definitely be using lucky house as 1st choice for Chinese takeaway.

Saloon Bar & Grill

Came on a February Sunday afternoon for my son's birthday, his choice. Was very quiet when we rocked up but soon started to fill up after 2pm. Pleasantly surprised! After entering the unassuming door, shown to some tables at the rear and given the menu. Good choice of Tex Mex style food, decide to share the fish/seafood platter with my son, and it was very well cooked, lovely calamari and prawns in batter as well as Whitebait; portions could have been a bit bigger but at least had room for mains! Had a burger (forgot which one but was great), son picked the fajitas and thoroughly enjoyed it. My daughter was a bit fussy (it wasn't her choice after all!) and didn't want a main, but the waitress was great and after the youngest decided she was still hungry, getting some chicken wings was not any bother. Fab service! Happy to come to Saloon Bar & Grill if we're in Herne Bay again (only provisio being go early to find parking nearby!).

The Ship Inn

I love this pub ! Visited with my partner and our little puppy on a Saturday and ended up being there again on the Sunday as it was so nice. Dog friendly pub and staff made a real fuss of ‘Lil’ our puppy. Good selection of drinks food is absolutely great but what made it for us is the warmest welcome from all the staff they made us feel like part of the family.
Sunday roast was fantastic ??

Herne Bay Tandoori Indian Takeaway

Food did take an hour to come however when it arrived- well it was amazing! Very hot, massive portions and very tasty! It’s a shame we’re not local as this would be our chosen Indian if so! 100% thumbs up

Just went in for a drink while visiting the beach...have to say the best and warmest greeting...the barmaid Karen was the friendliest and cheeriest I have seen in a long time...someone who clearly loves their job...a real treasure ?

Jon Le Chinese Takeaway

We compared prices and availability times for various deliveries online and John Lee, although they don’t deliver that I’m aware of, came out best in terms of price and quick service with collection in 20 minutes on a Friday evening.

The food was clearly freshly cooked, had lovely flavour individual to each dish and the man who took our food order was polite, double checked each item and was helpful. A highlight was the chicken satay skewers.

100% will only order Chinese from John Lee in future.

chicken was really nice and soft and price was very reasonable, ordered hot and spicy chicken, chicken curry, kings prawns 2 large special fried rice packed with lots various meats , salted chili chicken, chicken balls plain rice and quick delivery. Will definitely have again.

I came with my family to the restaurant earlier than opening hours but they have accommodated earlier to the dine in area . Service was amazing especially shafiq looked after us very well. I recommend this place for family.

Huntsman & Horn

One of the best breakfast I have had. All cooked to order well worth the wait. I had a regular breakfast it came with. Bacon, sausage, vine tomatoes, flat mushroom egg, beans, hash brown, toast and a hot drink. Can’t wait to go back.

The Firkin Frog Micropub

Lovely local micro pub. Dog friendly and the resident dogs are very cute. Great selection of drinks and great prices compared to other pubs. Has a real community vibe. Definitely worth a visit.

Copper Pottle

Very friendly people, a great atmosphere and an interesting range of local beers. Small but comfortable, the sort of place where friendships are made and tall stories told.

The Green Door Deli

One of my family's favourite cafes in Herne Bay. We love everything about it. There's a great selection of food and drink options, seasonal specials, the food is delicious and well-priced, and the atmosphere they've cultivated inside is cosy and welcoming. I feel like you can normally tell when people enjoy their work place, and The Green Door feels like somewhere the staff enjoy working, which makes it a lovelier place to be as a customer. I believe all the food is made in-house and it's delicious - the cake selection is dangerous to even look at, it's that appetising. Highly recommend.

The King Ethelbert Inn

Popped in on the off chance with Judy and had a delicious lunch in lovely surroundings with great staff and a friendly atmosphere. We will be back for Sunday lunch soon ! *****

Hampton Inn

First time at this pub and we were not disappointed. Great choice on the menu as well as a specials board. Staff very friendly and helpful, food and wine very good with large portions. Will definately be back.

Mortimers

Traditional cafe on high street, spotted in Google whilst cycling to Margate. The lady who served us was very friendly, and gave good timely service. Menu offered a range of options for breakfast including vegetarian and pricing was market rate.

I had a lovely breakfast today at Harry’s cafe, amazing service all staff was friendly. The food came out quick and hot definitely worth the money. A great atmosphere ( that was also clean) I Would definitely recommend!!

Charlie's Bistro

Absolutely beautiful food…. They seem to focus on doing a few dishes really well. It would be nice if they did their own tar tar sauce. They really should get with the times re dogs and allow them in! You go to Devon, Cornwall or Wales and you can take dogs virtually everywhere . On the Outer Hebredies where the weather is often inclement, you can’t take them indoors snywhere!

I recently had my 30th here and it was so incredibly done and I can’t thank the staff, Harry and Dil enough! The food was incredible and the event they helped plan was so special! Highly recommend going for a nice dinner or planning an event there!

Tussanee Thai Food

The food is really nice, and very reasonably priced. The service is always friendly and nothing is too much to ask.
My mother is in a home just along the sea front and the Tussanee Thai Food kiosk is always our ‘go to’ when the weather is nice enough to get out and about.
I thoroughly recommend a visit if you are on the pier!!!!!

The food was lovely had roast beef you only disappointment was it was a freezing cold day and it was served on freezing plates for my dinner got cold very quickly but I would still go back again

Good products and nice people ?

Been using this place on takeaway basis since moving to Herne bay in 2020, food is great, staff (young front of house) are always friendly and efficient, sadly on last three visits, when I arrived home sadly the order had been picked wrong ?- that said I like the people so will order on line next time to ensure the order is correct and then give a full 5 star ?

The Heron

We had my father’s funeral wake in the function room. Kim and her staff were amazing from arrival to the final guest leaving. The buffet food was fresh and cooked perfectly, with plenty of choice. Kim also accommodated some late guests who were Vegan. Each table was covered in clothes and flowers.

First time in last1 few years to see what everyone is talking about. Visited fri 21st Feb. Wow just wow what a brilliant atmosphere was packed great music and the new hosts Danielle and Garath couldn't do enough for you. The bar staff was rushed off their feet but quick and friendly. Now you read these reviews I say go and see for yourself trust me you won't be disappointed we've got our pub back xx

Kardelen Cafe & Restaurant

Always a warm welcome from the owner and his wife, and they always make a fuss of the dog. Your typical greasy spoon with cheap prices to match, definitely worth trying a cooked breakfast or the liver and bacon.Waitresses tend to be a bit airy but pleasant, and sitting outside on market day let's you soak up all the atmosphere. Cash only sadly, otherwise would have gotten the full 5 stars!

The guys who own this place are always so happy, and friendly to deal with.

I came home today to find an extra bag in our take away. It was doggy treats for my four doggies. What a lovely surprise.

Brilliant cafe! Breakfast are amazing and other foods that they do. Burgers, Roast. Prices are excellent.
The owner is pleasant as are his staff. Always greeted when you walk in the door and saying goodbye. Service is excellent.

Vegetarian options: Looked a good variety of Vegetarian

Parking: There are spaces outside the cafe, dependant on what time you get there, also across from the cafe.

Kid-friendliness: Yes children are welcome, caters for them as well

Wheelchair accessibility: I would imagine that you can get a wheelchair through. Lots of users of mobility scooters!

Ossies fish bar Broomfield

Simply the best Fish and chips since I have lived in Herne Bay. The cod was beautifully cooked, not over done and soggy. The chips were amazing, not a soggy fat filled chip in sight. The sausages were also freshly cooked, not kept in a warmer for a day lo like most places in Herne Bay! Curry sauce was thick, not a river of green water. Well done, definitely worth it.

Mammas

Brilliant takeaway with loads to choose from. Mainly chicken and pizza, but do kids meals. All cooked while you wait, so expect to wait around 20 minutes for your food, but it is worth it. Best to visit and collect as you can then customise your order. Would say as food as the colonels best ?

The Saxon Shore

The darkest of the Spoons...I think it needs different lighting to make a better experience. Food was good, usual good supply of beers etc. A regular stop when I'm in the bay...
