Staff very friendly and helpful and we were able to take our dog inside, which is a much appreciated concession compared to other chain pubs. The prices were reasonable. My only gripe would be that they only had one cask beer and it was a bit warm, so I'm not sure what their cellar temp is like. My wife's lager was great, she said.

It was so tasty big portions cooked to perfection and flavours were amazing ! I ordered a collection, on my arrival the man in the restaurant was so lovely and welcoming , he had a big smile on his face and was dressed very smart , the restaurant was very warm and welcoming whole atmosphere was just really nice , you could definitely see that owners take great pride in what they do , being it was my first time ordering I wasn’t aware you could also sit in which the man recommended to try next time and i would definitely do that ! We spent little under £30 and there was enough food there to feed 2 adults and 3 kids ? 10/10 experience , already can’t wait to visit again ! ?

Blyton Ice Cream
Old Hall Farm, 94 High St, GainsboroughOn visiting for the first time with my grandson. I was so impressed with the way the young lad dealt with my grandsons Allergies. He opened a new Box of cones and a new tub of ice cream to ensure no cross contamination which I just thought was amazing. Ice cream was delicious also. Highly recommend.

We loved tonight's salt and pepper munchy box, it was great and was bursting from everything in it - chopped spare ribs, chicken in batter, spring rolls, chips, chicken balls, fried rice, onions green pepper and garlic, and curry sauce. For main courses we had the sweet and sour Hong Kong style king prawns that are so.plump and so delicious as are the pineapple green pepper and onion chunks that are in the sweet and sour sauce - theyre always fresh, delicious and crunchy. Our chicken and ginger with spring onions was also gorgeous. We really appreciate the fast professional chefs and the great front of office lady who takes the orders at China Chef. We were thrilled with the free prawn crackers and the fortune cookies and blown away by the gift of the cokes! Thank you so much China Chef! Ten out of ten for you and a very Happy Christmas !

The manger i find very friendly and welcoming ,he wished my granddaughter happy birthday and even though it was the day before he gave her a cake to take home .The new staff member Maite was great and very helpful ,her mentor amazing so helpful sorting out the best offer we had on our phones and we never felt rushed .

The slider burger menu on Wednesday is fabulous and very reasonable. 3 different mini burgers including pulled pork, chicken and fish plus a salad for 11:95! Their early bird menu is really good value and changes weekly. Their A La carte is great and reviewed regularly based on feedback. I recommend their pies! We like that they seek feedback and tweak things as a result showing they care about the customers and want you to return. The staff are just wonderful especially Stacie who never seems to have a day off! It’s nice for a coffee as well as a big breakfast too.

4 Church St, GainsboroughFirst time ordering from this place tonight, got to say that it was the best shish and doner kebabs weve had in Gainsborough. Plus a massive bonus for actually delivering coca cola and not subbing to Pepsi like Gainsborough grill kept doing despite my constant messages asking them not to bother sending drinks if they cant send coke what i ordered.
Drinks exactly what I ordered and freezing cold, chips were hot and much better in paper rather than going soggy in a container which everyone else does, kebabs were very fresh abd tasty as was the salad. Pizza was good as well.
Definitely my new go to takeaway only let down was the delivery driver was quite rude didn't say hi or thank you or anything looked miserable aswell but food made up for it

80 Trinity St, GainsboroughHi, called in on tues 29th April, we haven't been in before and we were surprisingly taken back by how big it is inside, very clean very tidy, we had fish and chips and a battered sausage and chips with curry sauce and mushy peas (separate), it was all done whilst waiting but we were not waiting long, staff were friendly. we collected our food and left, when we got home it was still piping hot, but yes 100% was amazing, will definitely return. It was also very reasonably priced.

They also have a very tidy and clean restaurant bit in which is available to stay in and eat.

I enjoyed a cheap pint of Coors, sat comfortably at a clean table although rowdy people had The Sun and Daily Mail which should be discouraged even though those themselves are not the pub's fault, hence 4 stars.

The food was delicious and good value for money . 3 of us had the peppered steak pie which came with mash and one with chunky homemade chips , and a selection of different vegetables. One of our party ordered the Belly pork and she said it was delicious too . Lemon tart and Eton Mess for desert and they didn’t disappoint either . We would certainly be going again . Thank you for a lovely evening.

It's a lovely place in a nice relaxing area.
I had jumbo haddock and chips and mushy peas.
The Mrs had cod.
The flavour was wonderful og the beef dripping .
The meal was excellent. But the mushy peas they was creamy and had a smoke last they was great . The staff was fantastic, the Senior lady who was serving was fantastic and made me feel welcome

Plus always available breakfast. Mind they are open from like 8am till 1.30pm. Doesn't look presentable as it is for proper hardworking/dirty customers. Regular eating place for elderly people as well.

The Gamekeeper
40 High St, Scotter, GainsboroughVisited 25/09/2025. The food was fantastic, apart from the Garlic mushroom starter that had an excessive amount of chopped garlic cloves in it. There were more chopped pieces of garlic in the dish than there were mushrooms which spoilt an otherwise nice starter, leave the cloves out of it.
I overheard someone complaining about the chips and my wife too, said some of the chips were hard and undercooked. However, mine were OK. The service was great with friendly staff. The venue was neat, tidy and had a relaxing atmosphere. One of the JBL speakers providing background music was blown and the rattle from it spoilt the effect.
Overall, I would recommend The Gamekeeper and we will continue to visit as we have done so for many years.

They primarily said it wasn’t a service they offered but Lottie helpfully suggested some other options. Within 10 mins of the call Lottie called me back & offered to deliver for me as they were not overly busy. So so helpful & Thank you also to Jo who was the deliverer. Although dated it’s a traditional looking club from the 70’s.
Atmosphere was fabulous as it was a private event.
Filled with joy.
My friend got an outside caterer in and I must say the food was superb including the mobile hot roast van.
The service was a bit slow at the bar but to be fair this could have been due to. It having enough staff working to service such a huge party.
The venue itself is perfect for big party’s but the decor is a little tired and could do with some TLC.

This morning I tried their mixed summer fruits milkshake with cream…oh my goodness it tasted amazing and I will definitely be ordering one again! Their gelato is also delicious and the chocolate is just amazing! I haven’t had anything that I or my family haven’t liked! We’re so lucky to have this little gem in Kirton Lindsey!
