96 Main Rd, Long Bennington, NewarkOur first time at the restaurant today for lunch. We had the set menu , cooking the souffle ( oh my, it's divine!) The mini fish and chips ( incredible battery!) And a pavlova and cheesecake to finish! Got to become best meal I've eaten for a very long time and will be back very soon!

74 Main Rd, Long Bennington, NewarkNew to the village, and with our son and daughter in law visiting for the first time, we decided to visit the local pub for a Sunday lunch. When booking (which I absolutely advise as all tables were full) I asked if they could cater for me as I am a coeliac. After receiving a solid confirmation from Rachel the landlady I was reassured and booked. We were looked after superbly! The food was all gluten free, even the Yorkshire puddings! (Delicious.) There was a very generous amount of such tender meat, and at least 7 - yes, 7! - types of vegetables. Very plentiful and tasty. Excellent cookery. We were too full for pudding, but I would have forced a crème brûlée down, only it was off the menu. Personally, I would have liked the food to be hotter, but it was hot enough for most people I guess, as everyone else was perfectly happy with it. All the staff we came into contact with were extremely polite, friendly, and welcoming. Service was speedy and efficient. We all went away very happy. I highly recommend this pub and will definitely return.

46 Main Rd, Long Bennington, NewarkVisited again last night and absolutely loved the food. Also tried the Bangladeshi Lager Beer, Banglore, excellent. As always, 100% quality and warm welcome. Definitely the best by far!

The Reindeer at Long Bennington
22 Main Rd, Long Bennington, NewarkWe went to try the bbq food! The brisket and burnt ends were excellent! Ribs were tender, probably down to personal taste but i wasnt a fan of the bbq sauce that was used on them. Corn was cooked nicely but needed a bit of butter and seasoning. The atmosphere was a little hectic as it's SO loud inside - can see some effort has been made to dampen the sound but I was having to shout at the people I was sat next to at one point to be heard! All in all i would go again, the price is reasonable and the quality for the price is value for money.
