There are a few tables downstairs, and there are more upstairs
I had an amazing bacon and cheese toastie. I chose it on white bread. It was toasted to my liking of brown. The bacon had been cut up inside and mixed with the cheese. The bacon was well cooked but tender. The cheese was white with a strong flavour.
The hot chocolate was chocolaty without being bitter.
The staff were friendly and attentive.
I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I have gone here for as long as I can remember, in the space of about 20 years I have been 300+ times, through all different phases of my life and never once been let down… the food is incredible and the staff are some of the kindest and most genuine people I have ever had the privilege of knowing!!

Wasa special treat. But it wasn't nice at all. Chips were little under cooked but the fish was very under cooked. I would have waited longer for it too be cooked properly. Very disappointing for the 2nd time

16 Market Pl, LouthI wouldn't say it's the best Gregg's, especially at 7am, but the price of their sausage rolls are decent. I dislike the price of the bottled drinks, which can go up to £3 for a 333ml or so bottle.Parking: Gregg's is in an awkward position, as it is positioned on a corner where cars cannot pass. So you have to park down the street. When the market is not on, people are free to park in the allocated parking spots.

62 Westgate, LouthWe recently had a Weeks Vacation in Louth with another Retired Couple. we stayed in an Excellent Cottage, Misdale House in the Centre of Louth. Our Host recommended the Wheatsheaf Pub. My fellow Compatriot visited the Premises on the Wednesday Early Evg. We were Greeted with a warm welcome by Joy the Landlady of 40 Years with a Gap in between. The Establishment was Full of Bubbly Local Characters all sampling Excellent Real Ales & Wines for their Ladies. A must visit!

The service was attentive and friendly, the room elegant and grand; the food, honestly, first class and delicious. I was quite surprised to learn of a place of this calibre in Louth.

The food is excellent, tasty and well presented.
The service was first class.
Outside there's a secure grass area, where you can let your dog off to play with other dogs.

The service was fantastic..lovely staff who were very helpful and obliging. The waiting between courses was minimal, a very quick service and all 3 courses were absolutely delicious. We did not feel at all rushed or harassed by the waiting staff and had a lovely meal. It was an important day to us and we booked there in memory of someone special who always enjoyed meals at this restaurant. I am so glad we went and will be going again in the future. 100% recommend.

3 Cornmarket, LouthHaving just read the last review I felt I had to say something. This cafe is always welcoming and extremely good value for money. I have never had a 'cold' coffee served to me. My husband has to be gluten free and they always accommodate him.
The staff are excellent and tables are speedily cleared and cleaned after a customer leaves.
I wonder if the local guide who left the last review was in a different cafe ????

N Holme Rd, LouthWe had our wedding party here (April 2019) They were fantastic, we opted for the hot and cold buffet and no one was disappointed.. we thought maybe lots left over, but when they bring out battered fish and pizza etc they soon disappear. Which is good. They gave us access to venue the day before so we could decorate it, which made a big difference to us.
Regards to Sunday dinner, it's brought out to you now, not a carvery

The Cheese Shop
108 Eastgate, LouthThis shop and our lunch at The were jointly the reason for our two and a half hour round trip to Louth. We certainly weren't disappointed.
Supermarkets have brought many conveniences, but at the cost of reducing variation. I can't remember the last time I've seen such a wide variety of cheeses as this shop stocks.
Sampling is such an important part of exploring different cheeses - you only want to buy what you like. We were encouraged to sample several cheeses new to us.
The shop also sells a range of other foods - and after my dinner last night I can attest to the quality of the pork pie we bought!
No doubt, I'll explore the steak pies on our return when our cheese stocks need replacement. Lucky Louth!

111 Eastgate, LouthWe are locals and to us Parkinson’s are the best jumbo haddock and chips in Louth. We have had many different foods from here and can recommend all. Marcus definitely knows how to cook his fish, excellent every time. Jumbo skinless haddock is superb the chunky flakes of fish are the best. The staff are great and friendly the wait is not too bad (from the queues) well worth waiting for. Always freshly cooked, why go anywhere else. Keep on doing what you’re doing Parkinson’s.
