Postgate Inn
Egton Bridge, WhitbyPopped in here for a drink and lunch mid-walk and found the place to be incredibly welcoming and friendly with delicious food. Went back later the same week for a meal and it was spectacular. The wide variety of choices demonstrates an incredibly talented chef and we cannot recommend visiting The Postgate highly enough. Our dog was also made to feel very, very welcome on both visits, with locals having pockets full of dog treats which they were more than willing to share with our boy (and were received by him with much enthusiasm!). Definitely one to save and visit again when we next come to Yorkshire. 10/10 !!

Eskdale Fisheries
159 Coach Rd, Sleights, WhitbyFabulous business. Best fishnchips I've ever had. The product was delicious, quality great and cosy very reasonable. Better than the Magpie in Whitby ,hands down. 100 per cent recommended.

Old School Coffee Shop
Grosmont, WhitbyReally enjoyed our drinks and sausage sandwiches. Cakes are delicious ?. Staff friendly and good for viewing the NYMR trains. Good stopping point for anyone walking in the area.

Grosmont Station Tea Room
Front St, Grosmont, WhitbyWe visited here for the Flying Scotsman day on the 31st Oct 2025, and we stopped at the cafe for a little bite to eat. I got an apple pie and a hot chocolate, and it was pretty good! The apple pie was falling apart a little bit by the time I had sat down, but that's no biggie! We sat in this little tent building out the back, and it wasn't too warm, or too cold! Overall a great experience!
Oh, and get this...
THEY HAVE PLASTIC STRAWS STILL, YEAHHHHH
