Oh my gosh! What can I say about the magpie! You literally cannot beat it! It really does have the most amazing atmosphere and a true Whitby feel! The staff are so lovely and you really feel welcomed. We had a table for 10 and they really catered towards this with enough space for everyone. The menu has so many options from classic fish and chips, to lasagne, to burgers, it caters towards everyone making finding something for the non fish loving family members easy and everyone...read full review
The fish and chips (haddock) cannot be better. Both items perfectly cooked and the best quality fish. The Magpie Seafood Medley is outstanding. The Mushy Peas were excellent. The service received was perfect. Deserved our tip. This restaurant is busy and this is why- could not be better as it is outstanding. We come back time and time again.

Easy to book a table after 2pm online as they donât take bookings between 12-2pm. The service from the team was exemplary and the food was amazing locally caught crab and the scallops were cooked just right. Lisa had the fish and chips the fish was bright white fresh as she has ever had.
