More importantly, no plaice!! What has become of the little fellow? But hot, fresh cooked, the chips are of the “modern” variety, very good for you with no salt, no fat, almost no taste! Eat them and you’ll live to be 100!

2 Western Ave, DaventryBeen going to Cristina’s for a while now for a Sunday treat every now and again and the food has always been delicious! Very reasonably priced and the service is excellent, always very friendly and bubbly! Highly recommend!

Maltsters Country Inn
The Green, Badby, DaventryWe popped in here today around 4 and before food was formally available but the chef was brilliant and happily cooked early for us. We had his home made pies- a steak and ale one and a three cheese and onion one. Wow! So delicious and everything was actually made by him (so many places claim home cooked food that clearly is bought in). Proper chips like your mum used to make and gravy to die for.

18-19 Bowen Square, DaventryCoffee here is pretty good, does what coffee is meant to do, I really like that they don’t hold back on their coffee unlike other places who gives you a cup of milk instead. Breakfast is really good with a lot of choice. Staff are very good despite the busyness and overwhelming amount of customers sometimes. Atmosphere is very cosy, with decorative posters of favourite books. Seating is various and diverse, very clean and tidy overall.

2-6 High St, DaventryFood was great. Lovely staff and great atmosphere. Only downside was none of the draft beers were available. Also I would normally mark down because of the length of time for drinks service but I felt slightly sorry for the staff on as it got very busy very fast but there was only two staff on which wasn't enough and although they did a great job, they were run off their feet which I think slowed things down. So I'm not blaming the staff because they did everything they could as fast as they could but maybe a couple more staff would have helped them and made the service a bit smoother. Would definitely return.

1st floor, 22A High St, DaventryWas looking for somewhere to eat on a Monday evening and most places were shut... Luckily we found Abdul's place and we were not disappointed - indeed we were delighted. We ONLY ordered 2 dishes, plus a rice, as we are always wary of over ordering and we were right, as our Lamb Balti came with a lovely Butter Naan and the Chicken Tikka Biryani came with a vegetable curry on the side. Both dishes plus the Pilau Rice were very tasty and not simply 'hot'. Service was courteous and prompt but not intruding, just right for us.

Kuni's Coffee and Comics

Drinks
I'm not a coffee drinker but I'm big on chai Latte and they do a really nice chai Latte. Better than the other shops in the area in my opinion.
Food
The food is great too we had waffles which were great, they have a good balance of toppings that are not sickening for an adult. I can't wait to enjoy another waffle there.
This is my new chai Latte place.
Staff
The owner guy was really nice and this place deserves our support.
The staff are friendly and they have always been very prompt with making drinks and food.
Atmosphere
They have a really fun atmosphere with all the comic book stuff. They have a lot of seats too. The big minion is fun.
Opening Hours
I think it's great they are open until 8pm because I've often been in Daventry after 6pm and been craving a drink and the other shops close.
Cups
They have their own cups which is cool and they have a lot of sizes going up to Mega size. The prices are well worth it which I like. I was starting to feel ripped of in other shops.
Update
Been here many times now and the waffles and drinks are always great. It's defiently a great place to stop by.

3 Sheaf St, DaventryWe've been to this lovely café many times and please Google, it's no longer called Rosso - it's been DEJA VU for some months now - at least a year. As a Guide I've reported the name change several times but nothing's happened.Anyway, to review: a great small town cafe with tasty mains and desserts, also a good selection of cakes.The daily special is great value (we particularly like Thursday: beef stew and mash followed by a fruit crumble and custard).

Hidcote Way, DaventryWhat a great location and pub for a perfect Sunday lunch catch up! From greeting to leaving, it was top-notch. The staff are so friendly and attentive, with the layout of the pub and the decor exceeding expectations - it’s so rare to walk into a venue and immediately take a breath, but the high beam ceilings, finishing touches, and feel of the venue is awesome. The food was absolutely incredible; the Camembert sharer is instagrammable, and delicious to boot, and the Sunday roast is top-tier! Portion sizes are so generous, and the staff are just brilliant - they all stood out for the right reasons, and despite the pub being really busy, it was clear the team love their jobs and they’re proud to be part of a great team. I’m 100% coming back here, and will definitely want to try more of the menu; the pie is my next choice of meal - it looks amazing. What a great experience, well done to the whole team!

Whilton Locks, Whilton, DaventryAbsolutely a destination for any garden lovers. A fantastic garden centre with a huge choice of beautiful plants and extremely reasonably priced. They also have large gift wear and garden sundries departmet and a huge pet supply and small animal breed store. An added bonus is the cafe for those who need a quick refresh and of course the friendly and knowledgeable staff make the whole visit a joy...highly recommend

High St, DaventryWe found this pub while walking in the countryside. It was so good that we visited a total of four times during our three day stay at Fawsley Hall.
Exeptional food! This is pub food like I have never had it before. Quality and taste on a high level. Can honestly say it’s the best we have had! Hats off to the chef(s)!
One of the days we had dinner there they had two and three corse menus which were really, really good value! The next day they did not and then it was on the expensive side, but I don’t mind paying a premium when food is this good. Better that, than paying a little less to get mediocre food!
The pub is beautifully restored and the garden is a very nice place to be!
Owners are super friendly and knowledgeable about both the food and wine they are serving.
Highly recommend going!

Dark Ln, Braunston, DaventrySo good, we visited twice!! \nDropped in for dinner whilst passing on family canal trip. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and accommodating (big shout out to Liberty!), and very welcoming of our dog too. \nFood was excellent (although slightly on the expensive side). The kitchen was open until 9pm, which is later than most canal side pubs in the area. The beers (Everard’s) were extremely well kept.\nIt was so good that when we turned round the following afternoon, we moored up below Lock 3 rather than risk anywhere else in Braunston, just so that we could go in for dinner again!\nAnd we’ll be back.

The Countryman
Daventry Rd, Staverton, DaventryOur daughter lives in the village and we always envy her convenient access to this great pub. This visit, we had Sunday lunch there for the first time and we are always wary, after very disappointing weekend meals elsewhere and our own standards at home. We needn’t have worried as the welcome was as great as always, the service smiling and friendly. The food was excellent and amongst the best Sunday roasts we have eaten out. The desserts were also beautifully presented and flavoured. A perfect British pub visit and recent county awards well deserved. No wonder it was busy.

The Chippy At Norton Restaurant & Takeaway
51 Daventry Rd, Norton, DaventryExcellent food.. possibly the best fish and chips I’ve had actually! Portions are a good size and excellent quality. I got takeaway but there is an inside diner I believe. Could do with outside seating as it’s not aloud on the benches outside as they’re part of the pub next door. Will definitely use this place again
