booked a Sunday lunch on arrival nice buzz of diners but our table was the other side of the pub and just us 2 so felt a bit extradited 3 other large tables there so expected it to fill up but it didnt so it was ok but lacked atmosphere, other reviewer said about the tables the slate setting were stuck down, this is a pet hate of mine because tables not properly cleaned & dried this is what happen they had to be forced to move, we did have drink order taken quickly then nothing for a while, I eventually noticed menus on the table but hidden int he holders not displayed obviously but these weren;t pointed out or any offer of I'll be back to take the order, but in fairness she did seems to be on her own? Once ordered took awhile but YAY the food was lovely it was piping hot,,,excellent ! and the gravy was just scrummy and plenty of it. The apple pie was so unusual not in a pastry just apples but again very good, couldn't fault the food and whist the servers were all very lovely and pleasant just a bt more was needed initially.
