The White Horse
Walgrave Rd, Old, NorthamptonGreat pub! We booked on the day and were glad we did as it was busy. The staff were excellent and the menu had plenty of options. I had the steak and ale pie which was delicious — crispy chips and a really tasty filling. My friend had the steak and said it was great too. We were too full for dessert! Very well priced overall. Definitely recommend and would go back!

The Royal Oak
Zion Hill, Walgrave, NorthamptonTable thoughtfully provided near a lovely open fire ( it was cold outside!). Choices on the menu were adequate for 2 adults and 2 children. Bar staff and waitresses were lovely and very welcoming. Tbe food quality was excellent and all freshly cooked. Have been here before for Sunday lunch and always been satisfied and this early evening meal left us feeling exactly the same. A smashing drop of Blacksheep bitter rounded it off. Would happily recommend the Royal Oak to anyone ?

The Tearoom At Woodmeadow
Woodmeadow Garden Centre, A43, NorthamptonTook my my mum for afternoon tea today. The food was really very nice and plentiful. The staff were welcoming and very kindly moved us to an outside table as we found it too warm in the room where they had first laid the table. I felt it was good value and we couldn’t manage to eat everything so requested a box to take the rest home which the staff provided. The garden centre itself is quite small but does have a decent plant area, lots of pots to buy, a pet shop and a small gift shop. They do have a lot of summer houses and garden furniture on show. They also have animals eg rabbits, guines pigs, ducks, chickens, goats and a large tortoise and you can buy grain to feed the goats. I would definitely recommend the afternoon tea and the rest of the menu looks good as well.
