Giggling Squid topped the bill at the bottom of the hill. Staff excellent, being served by Alan. The Squid bits perfect and the pork dumplings , served in own small bowls with sauce. I had the Pawnee prawns whilst partner had red curry. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Presentation fantastic and good.atmosphere.. polite but chatty dining.

I love the food here and so does my partner and his family. The value is fantastic as well.
This is the best kebab I've had not just in England but across Europe. I've traveled to Turkey once to Antalya, and surprisingly, Istanbul BBQ in Henley is three times better than the kebabs I had there. Truly exceptional!

They got good choices of sandwiches and hot food and drinks.
Staff is very friendly.
There are outdoor seatings with beautiful views of the Thames waterfront. There are toliets on premise.
Parking: There is a parking lot a short walking distance from the cafe. On a nice sunny days, it will be a bit stuggle to find a spot. There are also street parking nearby.

21 Reading Rd, Henley-on-ThamesHad a wonderful meal here after the restaurant was recommended to us by a Nepalese friend. Being greeted by the chef was a particularly nice touch. Having enjoyed some of the excellent Indian food that Henley has to offer, we were keen to try some of the Nepalese offerings on the menu. The Fewa Fish Curry was a particular highlight, tangy and sweet with a lot of interesting flavour. The naan bread was beautifully crispy and a generous size! We'll be here again.

Beef was very tasty. Very happy we pushed on with a fabulous home made apple crumble too. \nAtmosphere was friendly and warm helped by a cosy log fire and smiling staff. What a find!

Priya kindly sent us menus around two weeks before and everyone chose their meals ahead of time, which saved a lot of hassle.\nStaff were excellent with absolutely amazing service. We all had three courses from the party menu with a couple of course swaps from the main dinner menu. \n\nThe food was just beautiful. My chicken starter, monkfish main course and macaron dessert were all a total delight. Every dish had the most amazing flavour combinations. Everybody so enjoyed their meals.\n\nAnd the front of house team were so attentive with regular checks on drinks. \nAnd the ambience was just lovely. \n\nWe had an amazing time and huge thanks to Priya, Ben and everyone at the golden ball for a truly delightful evening. Definitely an 11 out of 10. Thank you so much!!

All the staff were incredibly friendly and kind throughout the day. Chintan cooked the barbecue food to perfection — it tasted incredible and was a real highlight for many of our guests.
Vicky and Vishal were fantastic in helping us prepare and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day. Their attention to detail and calm approach took a lot of pressure off us, and we’re so grateful.
The venue comfortably hosted around 130 guests. We were also lucky with the weather, which made the day feel even more special.
If you're thinking of a venue to use, I’d highly recommend them. They truly helped make our big day unforgettable.

We were a group of four and shared some bruschetta’s to start. Our mains were two Wagu Lasagna, one sea bream and one Aubergine and all were delicious. No puds but great coffee. Our waitress was very good and at the time of paying we signed up to their App getting 15% off the bill. This was her suggestion and much appreciated.

8 Hart St, Henley-on-ThamesA true orchestra of spices, herbs and culinary skill. I started with the pakora, light, crispy, beautifully prepared and presented to the table, the drizzle of tamarind sauce that lifts the delicate balances of spices to a perfect starter.
With a glass of Malbec I was introduced to the lamb raghisthan, a salivating Bouquet of Kashmir chilli and mixed herbs and spices with a depth of flavour that meets the Indian Ocean. The lamb is as soft as your grandmothers kiss and when mixed with cardamom pilau rice a symphony takes place on your tongue that in emulated by the gentle background of music. Making you feel you are transported to precolonial India. All the service was warm hearted and professional, yet I felt I was eating with friends who want to see you truly enjoy the magic they have created for you to eat. My only regret is not having a bigger stomach and wallet to try everything they have to offer. I ate alone but I can only recommend bringing all the friends and family for a truly wonderful night.

Nettlebed, Henley-on-ThamesThey use their own cheese from the creamery, you don't need to book even for groups, the service is pretty quick with table service (order at the counter you have a number on your receipt for when the food comes out).
Some seating inside, most outside. Quaintley decorated. The pastries are wonderful, they usually have a soup of the day. The toasties are good, but it would be much better if they had the option for extras as they literally just have cheese toasties, no option for ham, onions, tomatoes or different cheeses etc in them.
They upgraded their car park last year so plenty of free parking and disabled bays too if you need them. The staff seem pleasant and they also have a farm shop where you can buy milk, cheeses and other things they produce.

The shop operates on a cash-only basis, which we found refreshing.
As for the food, the chips were hands down the best we’ve had in a long time—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. Everything was cooked fresh and served piping hot. You can tell there’s real care and pride taken in the food here.
The price was affordable and we did not fell ripped off.
Overall, a fantastic experience. Great service, excellent food. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-quality fish and chips.

The food is exceptional and the staff and kitchen are always willing to accommodate any requirements. They have on several occasions recently been willing to help my 96 year old father by bringing him the food he has asked for - even at the wrong times of day! Thank you for that! Everyone is very friendly and there is a great choice of food - especially brunch and lunch. The dogs are welcome in the conservatory and outside in the garden - so everyone is happy!

Plus….the delivery drivers are wonderful, and have a mysteriously magical way of making your food hotter than home hot food. Its magic.

The blonde lady who I assume is front of house there was particularly warm and welcoming when we arrived and made us feel very well looked after throughout the evening. We had the focaccia bread to start which we saw was freshly cooked from their pizza oven in the restaurant which added an even more authentic feel to the restaurant. Both had the beef bolognese which was perfect, very hot and the beef was really good quality. Wide dessert menu, we had the cheesecake to share but will be back for the hot chocolate sponge!

Today I tried the fish, which didn’t make it home without the undercooked batter stuck to the paper, despite letting the steam out on the way home. Parking: There is a parking lot a short walking distance from the cafe. On a nice sunny days, it will be a bit stuggle to find a spot. There are also street parking nearby.

Shiplake Row, Henley-on-ThamesCelebrated my wedding anniversary at this beautiful restaurant. Clearly the chefs put in a lot of effort to prepare every dish on the tasting menu. The food is fresh and delicious, and beautifully presented. Gemma was great in explaining every dish to us too.

Friday St, Henley-on-ThamesA lovely tiny cafe at Henley. The young lady welcomed us with a big smile and she was very friendly. The atmosphere is very peaceful, especially at the back yard where we shared the round table with a couple of other customers. Coffee was good too ?

Bird in Hand
61 Greys Rd, Henley-on-ThamesVisited here several times as it's a great, friendly, independent pub serving a good selection of beers and ciders. I also enjoyed a very nice red wine. It has a lovely garden too, with plenty of seats and tables.
