We came there by chance in a group. Without a reservation it wasn't a problem. At the beginning we were told about the staffing problem with 1 chef at that time, but we only had to wait 10 minutes for starters and the main courses didn't take long to arrive.The service was extremely friendly and helpful in explaining the dishes. It was great for us tourists.The food was mega ?, the portions were huge, and the fish and chips barely fit on the plate. The soup of the day (carrot-orange) was also so fine and large that it was almost enough.We would all go there again and can highly recommend it.

We’d been to the wildlife park at Kincraig and came into aviemore for a late lunch. We were delighted with the menu choices, service and quality of food. 5 of us fed and watered for £50. Excellent value. I had soup which was proper hearty lentil soup. 2 of the party had baked potatoes, I had a toasty and the other had a breakfast filled roll. Service was quick and friendly. We would recommend and come back ourselves.

The best full Scottish breakfast I've had for some time. The food cooked perfectly and the staff extremely welcoming and polite. The atmosphere made the visit very relaxing. Overall, I really enjoyed my breakfast and highly recommend the establishment. Thank you ladies

What an amazing place to eat in! We had a lovely late lunch here, everything so fresh and tasty!! We loved the salad which was very refreshing and full of ingredients. The coffee was also delicious! You should definitely cone here and eat and enjoy!

Ideal spot inside the Cairngorms with Loch Morlich a few meters away and the Aviemore adventurer bus stop around the corner.

We rented the Treehouse which was lovely! you can see the tree inside! Haha
All you need inside the treehouse (kitchen, bedding etc)

The bar was great too, very chill atmosphere and great food/drinks!
If the weather is not great, beware of the lack of space inside! It was full on our first night!

Best place we have eaten whilst visiting Aviemore! Had the garlic chicken and mozzarella focaccia and it was absolutely divine! Followed by the milkybar ice cream. amazing! Popped back today for some cannoli which are delicious. Spoke to Diane who works there and she was lovely, really nice telling us about the food and italian desserts. Can't wait to come back! 100% recommend this gem of a place! xx

I don’t do reviews very often but I honestly believe the Aviemore Inn definitely deserves the recognition, We tend to vist Aviemore each winter and always like to try eating out, and I have to say Aviemore Inn has been the best place to eat out that we have visited as far, the food was fantastic and the hospitality was even better, we even managed to get in a few games of Pool after dinner thanks again Mary for us we will most definitely come again next year ?

Came here last year camping an good for quick bite and some nice pints, love this place but only thing that upset me was they used to be open daily till about 1am now they only open Friday and sat from 2pm till 10 pm, I do my camping trips from a sat till the Thurs so whole timebi camping can only go in here on the sat because not open rest of week, apart from that nice place, just wish they would open every day like before, because of this no longer camping at rothiemurchus which is my favourite campsite

First time here since new seating layout and very impressed.

Food was excellent but table was covered in crumbs from a previous occupant which was hard to see until we sat down.

Lots of staff but no one noticed we had finished our food and had to go up to ask for cakes and coffee....then yhe server came over and took our order but did not clear the table....and they weren't busy!!!
Love the food and staff very friendly but need to get their act together.
The cherry and pistachio cake was out of this world!!!

It wasn't busy when I visited in early July. There are seats outside the shop front. However, not so many seats indoors, in my opinion. Nonetheless, it offers comfortable seating and very well presented. I would not recommend this for a business meeting due to the much open area. Service was good and friendly.

Stayed here for a couple of nights and what a lovely welcome we received. The lady on reception was very friendly and all the staff we interacted with pleasant.
It was a great place to be based to explore the Aviemore, which is an easy walk into the village and Cairngorm, which is easy to get to on the local bus.
We had a pitched that allowed us to have our van and awning up using heavy duty pegs.
The toilets & showers are clean and there are facilities indoors for washing dishes as well as washing machines and tumble dryer.
Will be back.

We really enjoyed our time in The Rowan Tree. We had a beautifull room. It was clean, comfortable and the bed was great. The hotel itself is everything you expect from a hotel in the Highlands: the interior, the atmosphere, everything breathes Scottish hospitality. The staff was very friendly and capable. Both owners were friendly, helpfull and even special wishes were granted! The food is very tasty...and so on. If you want to visit the Spey Valley: this is the place to be!

We stayed at the Balavoulin for two nights with our 6 month old son and had a fabulous time. The dinner and the breakfast were amazing. The staff were very friendly and kind. They did everything to make us feel home. They were so supportive of us during the little one’s nap times. On top of that everything on the menu can be made gluten free - which was my favourite thing about our stay :)

Happy Haggis is a very popular chip shop for a reason - the food and service are fabulous. \n\nI was really pleased to see they had veggie haggis on the menu, which was of course deep fried deliciousness! I thought the chips were also great, and none of the food was soggy or greasy. My son really enjoyed his fish too. \n\nStaff were friendly and very efficient. We did have to wait around ten minutes or so for our food, but I thought that was quite reasonable considering how busy they were.\n\nThere’s no dining tables inside, but there are some tables outside. Although most people were taking their food away.\n\nGreat experience and I highly recommend visiting Happy Haggis.

My son and I came here for an evening meal. The food was nice and our server (lady approx 50-60) was an absolute gem. The haggis was really good. The only negative was the fact we waited over an hour for a table for two. There was ample room outside of the restaurant that had tables, please consider utilising this during busy times. Many customers were irate about the wait.

My son and I came here on Sunday evening. We had a perfect experience! The 3 courses we had were top class and staff were lovely to speak to. They made my son and I feel like old friends. Even some of the locals chatted with my little boy. We will definitely come back again! A must try is the sticky toffee pudding. The gammon and egg and the haggis bonbons were the ultimate comfort dinner.
