58 John St, DunoonBest dining experience! The hummus with crunchy chick peas was delicious! The “pass around” bread and butter was unforgettable. But the total standout was the dessert selection! Banoffee, strawberry pavlova, chocolate tort, etc. It was outstanding.

249 Argyll St, DunoonExcellent, Excellent, Excellent. Food, Service and quality. This has to be on everyone's list for food. Tbe food is divine, the portions a good size and the prices much if a muchness and very reasonable. I cannot fat this in anyway but I give it 10 out of 5.

172-176 Argyll St, DunoonVisited on a busy Saturday with my niece who is vegan. We were served lovely, freshly prepared meals which we both thoroughly enjoyed from the great choices on offer. The staff were friendly and efficient and we will certainly be visiting again.

115-117 Argyll St, DunoonSinbads is well known in Dunoon as it is a very popular local bar. Fitted with a computer slot machine, pool table, jukebox and outdoor area for sitting and a smoking area. The bar has the normal range of drinks for the area. The atmosphere is lively and everyone gets to know each other in there.

59 Argyll St, DunoonHighly recommend! Stopped in for some breakfast/brunch for our travels back to the West Midlands. The food was cooked fresh as we were waiting and the coffee was delicious! The gentleman that served us (I'm so sorry for not getting your name) was absolutely lovely and we had a little chat while we waited. Definitely stop in for a Bite if you get a chance. 113 George St, DunoonI stumbled upon this bakery purely by chance while stopping at a gas station — and what a find! Living in the UK, I’ve often found it hard to come across pastry shops that can match the unforgettable quality you find in places like Chicago. But this one completely blew me away.
I picked up a cherry and almond Danish, and honestly, it was perfect. Every bite was flavorful, moist, and beautifully layered. Not a single dry or hard patch — something that’s sadly all too common in pastries elsewhere. This was the real deal: buttery, balanced, and clearly made with care.
I genuinely wish I had bought every pastry they had at that gas station. I’ll absolutely be keeping an eye out for this bakery in the future. If you ever spot their pastries — don’t hesitate. You won’t regret it!

West Bay, DunoonThis is a great place to eat in. We had the soup of the day with delicious bread (really good tomato soup), my wife a toastie with ham (salad dressing fantastic) and the wee one was really happy with his pancakes (fresh fruit and cream). They have fantastic coffee too and we'll definitely return.

Java Walk Coffee Shop
Pier Buildings Marine Parade, Kirn, DunoonThis is consistently the best coffee in town. The shop has super cute hair clips, hats, and amazing wax melts. I never thought to do a bacon cream cheese bagel, but please try it while you're here. It's also the perfect place to stop on your walk along the water.

The first is the cinnamon bun! - Well worth pre-ordering, make sure you get enough, as one will not be enough.Next, the handmade chocolates are to die for! - Little hits of delicious chocolatey goodness. Beautifully flavoured and presented.Yolanda is really personable and friendly. If you need a bespoke birthday cake, or something sweet to tackle your cravings… this is the go-to place.

Rio Ristorante
Argyll Hotel, 56 Argyll St, DunoonArrived at the Rio early evening, Saturday 21st. Maitre d' straight away welcomed us and made us feel most welcome. The young chap and young girl, who were waiting on and serving,were an absolute delight! So friendly, helpful and happy!! The food was delicious and more than plenty!
Thank you for most lovely dining experience! Especially as we had not booked and it was a Saturday evening.

Three in One Takeaway Dunoon
