Ebbcarrs Cafe
Harbour, St Abbs, EyemouthI have been using Ebbcarrs Cafe in St Abbs harbour for many years but my most recent visit I was a little underwhelmed by my favourite on the menu Cullen Skink. The volume of potato had increased hugely but unfortunately in proportion to the reduction in the amount of fish.
I was nice to see a selection of local brewery bottled ales available to consume on premises but not available for takeaway.
The panini's appear to have reduced in quality and that was disappointing.
The popularity has not wained at the weekend but is does benefit from a monopoly on the harbour front.

Old School Cafe and Ebba Centre
B6438 Briery Law, St Abbs, EyemouthThe Old School Café in St Abbs is a great place to stop for something to eat. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, and the service always feels relaxed and cheerful. The Scottish breakfast is lovely and sets you up perfectly for a day exploring the coast.
The cakes are honestly out of this world, fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented. It is the kind of place that makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in, with a warm atmosphere and good food that keeps you coming back.
We would definitely recommend calling in here if you are visiting St Abbs

Chu Hoi
14 Chapel St, EyemouthPopped in to get a menu. Proprietor was friendly even though I wasn't ordering. Returning later we only ordered chicken fried rice and curry sauce, which were excellent and I wish we could have been able to eat more. I wish this closer to home so I could go back.

The Tavern
High St, EyemouthSunday lunch could do with a bit more variety of veg, but other than that the food was delicious.
My sons & father got the fish & chips they said it was beautiful & daughter in law got chicken strips & Halloumi sticks both with salad & dips she throughly enjoyed them. Lovely young girl who served us. I’ve cold lager & the service was quick will definitely be back.

my companions had Chicken sandwich, & Cheeseburger with all the extras both good !
Hot chocolate to drink, could have been slightly hotter ;-)

The Heathers Restaurant
Gunsgreen Hill, EyemouthBroke our journey back from the Highlands with a meal here. It was a return visit having eaten there on a couple of occasions a few years ago. A first floor restaurant with great views towards the harbour, sea and golf course. We were happy with the food and service but the only drawback was that they had run out of Salmon. Happy to recommend and would drop in again when up this way

The New Inn
1 Bridge St, Coldingham, EyemouthStopped in for Sunday dinner and was very impressed, good sized portions, freshly made with fresh veg on the side. I had steak pie, wife had the roast beef and daughter had the pork, all were excellent and keenly priced. Will definitely return in the future.

20 Harbour Rd, EyemouthFish and chips from here twice in the last 8 days (well we are on holiday)First time was superb, crispy batter fresh fish, great chips. Second time not so good, fish and chips left standing for a short time as server was busy, fish was quite greasy snd both fish and chips went cold very quickly. Probably serves me right for buying twice in 8 days!
Would buy again but ask that meal wasn't left standing.
