Restaurants in Kirkcudbright
The Masonic Arms
19 Castle St, KirkcudbrightStandard pub, interior was a bit too modern for my liking but spacious and clean. Has a nice small outdoor space for sunnier days too. Overall a decent enough watering hole.

The Auld Alliance
29 St Cuthbert St, KirkcudbrightDelicious cuisine in the heart of Kirkcudbright. My mother and I booked a reservation for a meal for her birthday treat, and what a treat it was! I had the beef from the Xmas menu followed by the trio of locally sourced ice cream. My mother had the lamb and lemon posset from the main menu. Full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Great value for money! The service was excellent with a friendly waitress. A smile goes a long way ☺️ thank you for a great evening, we will be sure to book again soon!

The Selkirk Arms Hotel & Restaurant
High St, KirkcudbrightNice family style hotel, apparently dating from 250 years ago. Rambling , corridors and stairs, no lift. We had a nice room and bathroom on the 2nd Floor. The restaurants and bars, and the garden are lovely, food was good, and the staff are super.

Feast Cafe
32 St Cuthbert St, KirkcudbrightFeast is a my favourite cafe in Kirkcudbright. Robyn and Lewie have created such a warm and friendly cafe where everyone feels welcome. I often pop in for a take away coffee, or sit in for lunch or cake. Their food is always fresh and delicious and their coffee is the best in Kirkcudbright! Their staff are friendly and service is quick. Highlights of the menu are the Nourish Bowl, or Birdseed Brunch. And I’ve had too many slices of the Plum Cake to count!

The Little Bakery
15 St Cuthbert St, KirkcudbrightTasty pies and tarts with coffee. Opposite a nice park with plenty of tables and seats so this made for a great picnic lunch. Not brilliant range of veggie pies but to be fair it was after 2pm.

Mullberries
11 St Cuthbert St, KirkcudbrightLovely little cafe. We turned up a little late for a breakfast roll but there were plenty of other good menu choices. In common with a lot of other places in the town, this was cash only, which had us all scrambling around in our pockets to see if/what we could eat. The idea of all chipping in to buy lunch was slightly off-putting, almost a bit embarrassing - this was ultimately reflected in our conservative order. Being on holiday usually means out-out but left feeling a little disappointed in our failure to explore the full range of delights on offer here.
