I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to give a shoutout to Kasia at Chopstix. She was super friendly and made the whole experience better from start to finish. You can tell she enjoys what she does — she was helpful, patient, and just had great energy overall.

The food was great as always, but honestly, service like that makes a big difference. Kasia’s the kind of person who makes you want to come back. Overall 10/10 experience :)

Fantastic as always in this family run restaurant. The service and food is second to none. A hidden gem only half an hour from Edinburgh.\n\nTheir extensive menu is filled with options for all. My personal favourite is the pollo funghi crema. However, their best selling chicken/lamb kebab and Penne La Vita are both exceptional too.

I absolutely love coming to this place. The food is always fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. If you’re craving a proper Sunday roast and I mean seven days a week, this is definitely the place to come for a carvery. They also offer a great selection of other meals too.

The staff are brilliant, always friendly and welcoming, but a huge shout-out has to go to Scott the chef — the real star of the show. I asked for some crispy bits off the meat and he went out of his way to make it happen. He’s warm, approachable and genuinely can’t do enough for the customers.

Thank you, Scott ? — we’ll definitely be back!

Had a genuinely very pleasant meal here. Second time we've eaten and stayed over. Food was hot and flavoursome . Often with chain restaurants like this the food is bland but it was genuinely tasty. We started with the crispy prawns and chicken wings. Both were delicious. The wings were plentiful and not a stingy portion and served with a sweet chilli sauce and a sprinkling of fresh red chillis on top. Better wings than I've had in many other places. You nailed it Leanne! (The lady who cooked them apparently). \n\nOur mains were the double burger and surf and turf burger. Both hot and fresh. Burgers were obviously not top drawer quality but flamed grilled which was a nice touch and added to the flavour. The skin on fries were fresh, crispy and hot and not just re heated. \n\nAll topped off with a couple of ales.:-)\n\nWe've had way worse meals in much more expensive places before so for a stop over at the adjacent premier inn, you can't go wrong with eating here.\n\nMy only bit input to the restaurant management is the 'wait to be seated' service. It can be a bit slow as the front of house person seems to also be deeply involved in taking orders and serving. This was particularly noticeable during breakfast with a bit of a queue forming.....albeit not for too long.

It is always a pleasure to grab a coffee and cake here. The refurbishment looks great and has obviously given more seating. The staff are always polite and efficient - whenever we visit the Designer outlet, this is always our first port of call, love the loyalty cards now in place too! ?

Visited today for the first time. We did not have to wait long for a seat. Once seated we were given the menu and within minutes waitress asking for order. No time given to actually look at the menu.

We ordered macaroni and cheese and steak pie. The macaroni was tasteless, watery, preheated in the microwave. Certainly not cheese macaroni as I know it. Would not recommend it at all .
The steak pie at least was presentable, gravy spot on. Cafe was getting busy as we left.

Really impressed with the helpful staff and professionalism.
The food was easy to order and came fairly quickly. It tasted so good.
I would also like to mention how clean the disabled toilet was. Often when I visit restaurants, disabled toilets are vile and always appear as if not regularly cleaned or forgotten about. The disabled toilet here was clean to a high standard which I appreciate being immuno suppressed and at risk of infections.
Thanks for providing an all round good service. I will return soon.

We visited on a busy Saturday at lunchtime and it was fairly busy, we waited in a short que but we were seated quite quickly.\nThere is very little interaction with staff as you have to order via a QR code on the table, which was very simple to do.\nWe did wait a little while for our food but it was busy, the portion sizes were good and piping hot but then again we waited a while for our desserts and my cookie dough was a little burnt. \nWe enjoyed our lunch and would definitely return!

Stumbled across The Grapes whilst on a walk through the Country Park with the dog, so glad I did. Really smart pub that has that traditional, friendly feel to it which is rare now. The tower bar kindly hosted us when around 15 local nurses came to enjoy a night out for a much loved colleague soon to leave our department. The staff were so kind and at no extra cost reserved us the perfect area in the main bar which we were able to decorate with a cake, props and enjoy the karoke disco night from. Buffet style Finger food options from the menu were ordered to the table which tasted fantastic. Food and drinks were both very reasonable. Music and DJ was spot on! Atmosphere, staff and locals were so friendly and welcoming. Would defo reccomend requesting the tower bars cozy corner space for any small group celebrations without the hassle of hiring a hall and enjoy one of their fab themed nights.

Fab visit today. Added honeycomb syrup to one cappuccino & pumpkin spice to another. We usually frequent the coffee shops of the Clyde valley and we both agreed our coffee's were in fact the tastiest we've had in a while !

Having a late lunch and not wanting to spoil dinner, we shared a sandwich. Delighted as the intuitive lady behind the counter caught that we were sharing . Our sandwich arrives , served on separate plates! Nowhere has done this before , and very, very much appreciated and enjoyed.

The Topiary was busy , but not overcrowded - mum didn't need to turn her hearing aid down to accommodate. Service and goods supplied were beautiful . Thank you ?

Superb amount of choice on the menu, food hot when we collected our order, reasonably priced and polite, friendly service with a smile.Our order choices were delicious and the portion sizes were excellent. I ordered tofu with mixed vegetables & cashew nuts as my main (as tofu is my favourite and it isn't available at every Chinese takeaway, I was a very happy bunny!), my family chose meat dishes.Altogether, 3 happy adults! We had enough in leftovers to eat cold for lunch the following day, too ?Thank you very much. Two fish suppers came to £17.60. Popped in and ordered at 7pm. It was quiet so I didn't have long to wait.Chips were good,nicely cooked not too dry or under fried. The fish had a nice flake to them, had no smelly fish taste that I find in some places.The batter was a little a bit soft not sure if was due to the sauce and travel for five mines in the box. The greaseproof paper was stuck to the fish, so I had to slowly scrape it off with a knife. Good amount of chips and fish was two pieces.Overall not bad and would order again.
