The Double Five

Popped in for a quick couple after a homer while the Mrs was getting food from a local takeaway... not originally from the town but made to feel welcome ... pints are brilliant and bar staff are extremely friendly... recommend anyone passing by to stop in for cheap/reasonably priced alcoholic beverage.. also toilets extremely clean which is unusual for such a small establishment.

Just recently came across this wee place, staff always friendly at reception. Our order came with veg when we had asked for non, I called a little upset as was hungry. The women called us back to say they would remake our order! Myself and partner was happy with this.It couldn’t be delivered as driver had left. However, staff would Have arranged this.I’ve ordered a few times now from here. Meal deal is so reasonable 8.80For crispy shredded chicken in curry sauce, bbq rins and rice and it’s tasty! Pleasureland Cafe

Love this little cafe. We go there after our swim every time. Very clean, friendly, rolls are great! Not too expensive either.Only criticism, the tea is too weak! Sorry!!

The curry out of here is amazing!I change between the beef and the chicken. The sauteed chicken and chips are packed full of flavour with a little spice. The staff are friendly and polite. Can be busy for deliveries during the weekend so I normally collect it. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Mix veg curry

Always spotless but i call it the Harrods of fuel stations because its always 8/9 p more per litre than anywhere else, from Newhouse to Livingston...expensive for fuel ⛽️ !!

On arrival at our table we were given menus and drinks order placed. The food we ordered arrived quickly between each course and was absolutely delicious, consisting of pakoras, steak, burger, sundae and cheesecake. The choice on the menu was varied and priced reasonably. Considering a wedding was taking place and the traffic outside, the venue was quiet. This is our favourite venue as we held our wedding there four years ago. Highly recommend welcoming friendly staff and excellent service and food, what more could you want right on your doorstep, so support your local hospitality. We enjoyed our evening.

Food was fine but the place needs decorated. I nearly walked out before ordering as it looks pretty disgusting. Even though I liked the food I won't be back. Sorry.
