Smithy La, LochgilpheadMy family and I have been visiting Lochgilphead for many years and always call into The Smiddy Bistro for Lunch and a hearty breakfast before we travel home. The staff are amazing, so helpful, and the food is fantastic! So fresh, lovely and well presented. We all love to eat at The Smiddy Bistro.

Taj Mahal
41 Lochnell St, LochgilpheadThis is the greatest Indian food out there, the lamb was cooked to perfection unlike other indian restaurants. It's also not too expensive, portion sizes are great, and the staff are very kind. We will definitely be back at taj mahal in the future

Colchester Square, LochgilpheadGreat breakfast spot on our way to the ferry - bacon sandwich and a drink for £4. Tasty and tremendous value. We didn’t buy any, but the cakes looked delicious. Lunch/sandwich menu is long and varied.

The Rumblin Tum
87 Chalmers St, Ardrishaig, LochgilpheadWhat a little gem. Stumbled across this beautiful wee cafe when out for a run in the car. How nice to get a bowl of hearty home made soup, I wanted a chicken salad sandwich which wasn't on the menu, but they were happy to make for me. My partner had a baked potato which was also very good.
Teas and coffees piping hot and cakes just amazing. Great service also. Can't wait to come back.

The Square Peg Gift Shops
Colchester Square, LochgilpheadThe Square Peg is such a lovely spot when visiting Lochgilphead. They have such super friendly staff, and our go to whenever we need gifts and presents. 10/10 would recommend.

Argyll Cafe
25 Argyll St, LochgilpheadThe Argyll Cafe is an old style chippy which also does excellent pzzas. You can sit and have a fish tea. The folk are friendly and very efficient...go and enjoy! Have the Arfern Black Pudding supper as a new offering!!

43 Lochnell St, LochgilpheadI was surprised by the menu, they actually have a pretty good selection of vegetarian food. I enjoyed every single bite of it.
Chinese takeouts rarely offers vegetarian options that taste this flavourful. The staff was also very kind, giving me recommendations for the veggie options. Probably one of the best places I've ever passed by to grab food on the go.
