Smithy La, LochgilpheadAs a solo traveler, unfortunately, you are not always served friendly. Quite different here: I received a friendly welcome and got a nice place. When ordering I mentioned that I am very allergic to celery. Then the cook came to my table to ask if it was okay if she cut vegetables on a board where she had also cut celery before. I haven't actually experienced this anywhere!\nThe food was also very delicious, the price perfectly fine. I would go back here anytime. Clear recommendation!

Taj Mahal
41 Lochnell St, LochgilpheadThis is the greatest Indian food out there, the lamb was cooked to perfection unlike other indian restaurants. It's also not too expensive, portion sizes are great, and the staff are very kind. We will definitely be back at taj mahal in the future

Colchester Square, LochgilpheadGreat breakfast spot on our way to the ferry - bacon sandwich and a drink for £4. Tasty and tremendous value. We didn’t buy any, but the cakes looked delicious. Lunch/sandwich menu is long and varied.

53 Lochnell St, LochgilpheadI loved my time coming here ? as a tourist from the USA it felt comfortable and inviting staff was friendly and helpful! My boyfriend and I loved the food he's from Scotland and he never had there food either it was so good!

Colchester Square, LochgilpheadThe Square Peg is such a lovely spot when visiting Lochgilphead. They have such super friendly staff, and our go to whenever we need gifts and presents. 10/10 would recommend.

43 Lochnell St, LochgilpheadI was surprised by the menu, they actually have a pretty good selection of vegetarian food. I enjoyed every single bite of it.
Chinese takeouts rarely offers vegetarian options that taste this flavourful. The staff was also very kind, giving me recommendations for the veggie options. Probably one of the best places I've ever passed by to grab food on the go.

The Rumblin Tum
87 Chalmers St, Ardrishaig, LochgilpheadWhat a little gem. Stumbled across this beautiful wee cafe when out for a run in the car. How nice to get a bowl of hearty home made soup, I wanted a chicken salad sandwich which wasn't on the menu, but they were happy to make for me. My partner had a baked potato which was also very good.
Teas and coffees piping hot and cakes just amazing. Great service also. Can't wait to come back.

Argyll Cafe
25 Argyll St, LochgilpheadThe Argyll Cafe is an old style chippy which also does excellent pzzas. You can sit and have a fish tea. The folk are friendly and very efficient...go and enjoy! Have the Arfern Black Pudding supper as a new offering!!
