211, Altandhu, UllapoolBelieve it when people say you need to book in advance. Seven of us ate here last week, and we were all delighted with the food, the ambience, and the friendly service. Everything was perfectly cooked, with great flavours and generous portions. Staff were lovely. We were in the area in late September. We ate on a mid-week evening, and the place was still fully booked. Well worth a visit.

4 W Argyle St, UllapoolTheir home made pastries are so light and buttery I instantly forgot my morning confusion. The coffee, is delicious, I drink black.
This was random as I was sorting my camp chassis.
I give this, for pastry alone, 12/10

The Little Bakehouse
West Ln, UllapoolCame here as they made my husbands birthday cake in April. Loved the cake so had to try the bakery. Had scone, cupcake and drinks. Everything was freshly made and very tasty. 5 stars. When in Edinburgh again, we would come here again and well recommended.

Clachan Garden Clachan, Lochbroom, GarveBeautiful and very clean rooms, to a very high standard. The house is wonderfully situated in the countryside near Ullapool, where you can find good restaurants within easy reach. Everything is done with love, the breakfast was the best I had in my whole holiday in Scotland. Very interesting people who are deeply rooted in their incredibly beautiful homeland. That's why Stephen can give you the best tips for hiking.

Garve Rd, UllapoolThe staff is very friendly and helpful. They provide a warm atmosphere and the food was excellent, on the menu you can find multiple choices and you can try plates you can’t find anywhere. Strongly recommended.

The Seaforth
Quay St, UllapoolAbsolutely sensational haddock & chips. Wanted to sit in restaurant but closed, so took take out back to hotel room. My wife generally avoids chippies but even she said this was the best she’d ever had. As for myself, being from the south coast of England, I have had my fair share and have several no negotiable accoutrements with for a top tier. Although no buttered bread, gherkin or ketchup (for the odd chip, not the fish!), the salt, vinegar & house tartar sauce were simply enough to let everything else shine.
Perfect hybrid between typical chippy chip & fries, some had genuine crunch while others a little softer. The batter on the fish was crisp and far from greasy, with a beautiful beer batter flavour.
Genuinely up there for me, such a shame home is so far away from here!

Argyll Hotel
18 Argyle St, UllapoolA nice wee hotel. Twin room for me and my son was small, yet finely accommodating with an amazing view. Shower shampoo smelt very nice. Only stayed for 1 night so didn’t get too much of an experience.
Lovely lady called Karen gave us directions to a fantastic nature spot- Corrieshalloch Gorge. Croissants were delicious ?

Essence Of India
West Ln, UllapoolAfter three days without a proper meal on our NC500 trip, this place was an absolute blessing. The food was tasty, filling, and perfect after our long hikes. We even packed some extra food for the road. Definitely recommend eating here!!

The Chippy
Quay St, UllapoolAugust 2024. Great place! We had coffee and were entertained by the music of this young man. Quick stop before we returned to the boat. Nice, friendly people in this town.
