I used to be a pastry chef, and a lot of places charge these prices for croissants etc when they're really just ok. These croissants from Niche were some of the best I've had. The lamination was perfect, and they had the right amount of filling in them. Can't fault them at all. Also took away some of their baguettes and granola and they were also wonderful. Everything made to a really high standard and you won't be disappointed if you grab some snacks from here.

We booked this place for New Year’s Day after driving past and staying at nearby Henlle. \nThe fact it made it clear it was dog friendly on the outside was fab for us. \nMessaged and booked via Facebook which again was really handy as no phone service. \n\nGreeted warmly by locals on entering pub which is always nice. \n\nWe were the only ones in the room having dinner, and as such we were a bit have we made a wrong decision. The rooms and carpet are a bit tired and dated. \nHowever, the food!!! All homemade, well cooked, tasty, and a variety for everyone! \nPrices are exceptionally reasonable with main meal at £16ish and 2 courses for £20ish, but the portions were plentiful and filled us right up. \n\nA great choice for New Year’s Day. And a lesson in don’t judge a book. \n\nThank you for a lovely meal

Fantastic food and superb service, after a long old slog of a week we decided to treat ourselves to a meal out and we both said let’s go to the griffin like it was a no brainer, draft rhubarb cider, honey chicken starter and fish & chips with crackin mushy peas. Staying in the town for one night and spotted this little gem so popped in for a bottle of wine and a sharing cheeseboard. The owners are so friendly and fun! The dog was very warmly welcomed in fact it was her name on the reserve sign on table saying bringing well behaved adults. Very amusing!

Fresh products and I was quite surprised about pricings which were quite under the norm for this type of shops. Far cheaper than the one I used in Chester(well north Wales).
