The staff and customers were really friendly, our lunches were tasty, arrived quickly and substancial portions, while the choice of real ales was exceptional and extremely well kept. The free doggie treats were the icing...at least that's what Morgan asked me to put. First-class place and we'll worth a visit.

The Stanton Arms
Stanton upon Hine Heath, ShrewsburyOur first visit and won’t be our last to the Stanton Arms . The Christmas menu meal was excellent and everything was cooked and served to perfection . This is a hidden gem of a place and although it may be a couple of ££ more than your normal run of the mill places , it is worth every penny . Lovelly local when you can enjoy your food without being rushed and can talk without a lot of noise . Nice punt as well . Looking forward in going back

New Inn
Shrewsbury Rd, ShrewsburyBeen several times over the past few months & never ever been able to fault the food, drink & service provided on each occasion. Had a lovely warm welcome on each visit from all members of staff & the regular local drinkers who create a very pleasant atmosphere. A special mention must be given to the young girl waitress who is always smiling & happy to assist. Strongly recommend anyone passing to call in & enjoy this charming village pub

The Croft at Beaconsfield
Astley Ln, ShrewsburyFour of us went here for Sunday lunch today and I can't fault it.
I would strongly recommend booking in advance.
The Croft is spacious and airy with well spaced tables and comfortable seating.
There are plenty of windows looking out across fields and trees.
There is also some outside seating.
There is a bar.
The food is excellent with generous portion sizes and all very fresh and well presented.
The 2-3 courses were served with perfect timing and everything was piping hot.
This is probably one of the best meals out I have had and I feel the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food and portion sizes.
Everything is spotlessly clean.
An absolute gem!
There is plenty of parking, a downstairs accessible toilet and the other toilets are upstairs. Also spotlessly clean.

The Fox and Hounds
Wytheford Rd, Shawbury, ShrewsburyPopped for lunch before dropping my son at RAF Shawbury, we had a lovely lunch...very impressed with the vegetarian enchilada, very tasty and beautifully presented!!!
