South St, Castle CaryHad a friend visiting from Germany and wanted to give them a proper taste of traditional British pub fare—this place did not disappoint! We both absolutely loved it. The roast chicken was beautifully cooked—succulent, tender, and full of flavour, with generous portions that left us more than satisfied.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, just what you’d hope for in a classic pub. Kev Reni and the staff made my Friend feel right at home, and the whole place had a lovely, relaxed vibe.
The quality of the food was excellent and very reasonably priced for what you get. It’s clear that care and attention go into both the cooking and the service. A fantastic place to enjoy a proper Sunday roast. Highly recommended.

The White Hart
4 Fore St, Castle CaryWe went in for a pint on a chilly Monday evening. Warmly welcomed by friendly staff and chatty locals. Dog was welcomed too and was made a fuss of. Comfortable bar area, pub clearly two or three hundred years old. Not too noisy/busy for a cosy chat. Relaxing way to spend an hour or two. We’ll definitely be back when next in the area.

High Rd, Galhampton, YeovilPopped in today for lunch with my small dachshund, Streak was cooked beautifully!
Service was 10/10 too felt so welcomed would definitely recommend! 5/5 from me!

Denela's Bakery
Fore St, Castle CaryWe were camping nearby and stumbled upon this little bakery. The staff were so friendly and chatty. We had a couple of sandwiches (so many filling choices) which were made fresh and absolutely bursting with filling, a salad box with heavenly coleslaw, beetroot, sweetcorn and all the usual salad stuff, and the best caramel doughnuts. The salad was so huge I kept half for the next day. Came back specially two days later for more sandwiches, quiche (so deep with yummy pastry) and iced apple doughnuts. Just delicious. Highly recommended.

The Catash Inn
Cary Rd, North Cadbury, YeovilA really lovely pub with incredibly friendly staff! Stayed here with my partner before a wedding, the staff made us feel so welcome and at home. We ate dinner at the pub which was great and everything was reasonably priced. The main thing about the inn that blew us away was how lovely the staff were!

Miah's
Woodcock St, Castle CaryThis is a stunning little Indian restaurant in a gorgeous little town. We were staying locally and really fancied a curry, however the choices in this area are fairly low. So we travelled into this sleepy town, and tried our luck here.
We were so impressed when we arrived. The service was fantastic, with the staff member giving us a great welcome. He was also so lovely to everyone who visited, even just to collect a takeaway.
This was very quiet, but was a midweek, term time visit. Only 1 other table sitting in, but they had plenty of space.
The food choice was great. All of the classics you would expect, plus some chef specials too.
Everything we ordered arrived exactly as we were expecting. Hot, fresh, high quality, good timing of courses, flavourful.
I would highly recommend a visit to Miah's.

Cafe 750 at Haynes Motor Museum
Haynes Motor Museum Nr, YeovilGreat stop for a coffee if you're travelling down the A303.
The interior space is now wonderful and the service is great. The coffee is fantastic. The only thing that lets it down is the lacklustre sandwiches. The soup is actually pretty good, as are the cakes.
Easy parking and a decent outdoor area too if it's sunny.

Dragon House
3 Ashby Pl, Castle CaryCannot understand the negativity in some reviews - the service, food, and price were all great. Five of us ate a huge feast for £94 all in. Highlights included the Singapore noodles, sweet and sour chicken balls, shredded chilli beef, lemon chicken (a very simple chicken piece and sauce), and duck and mushroom. Only complaint was the hoisin duck pancake wasn't too generous on the duck and the hoisin tasted slightly sour. Great overall though and would go again in a heartbeat ❤️

Castle Cary Kebab & Pizza House
4 Fore St, Castle CaryThe best pizza ever. literally beats the hell out of Dominos, Pizza hut you name it. The delivery service is 100% always friendly and on time. These guys know what they're doing.
