We had a long journey home from Gatwick and wanted somewhere nearby where we could stay overnight and then continue, refreshed in the morning. We could have stayed in one of the nearby Airport hotels but wanted something with a bit more character. Fantastic food - very fresh and really well cooked. Service is always impeccable. It is a place I often take my family, and each time is better than the last. They also don’t do service charge - which is why we will be coming back and giving our own tips.

We arrived at 1 o’clock, and we’re almost the only ones there. The staff were quite direct and I was a little concerned - as time went on the place got busier the food was outstanding, I had salmon teriyaki, the Surrey Hills ale is about as good as you can get, the staff were very efficient and attentive and the whole atmosphere was warm and friendly. Recommend
