185 Whitley Rd, Whitley BayLovely meal with a large group of colleagues. Well organised so food arrived at once despite the group size with mistakes. Servers were very polite and friendly. Food was delicious and portions were appropriate. Will definitely go back again soon.

10 E Parade, Whitley BayVisited on a Saturday evening. We waited at the door to be sat down for at least 5 minutes, fortunately the table for 4 in front of us let us go first (poor them they were still waiting for another 10/15 minutes) The starters were ok. The calamari was very thin and Luke warm. Black pudding was good
Our main were better and the puddings were very good
They could definitely do with at least one more member of staff front of house
All in all a good meal but not 5 star

N Parade, Whitley BayThe food was good and was worth the price paid. I had the Turknaz Kofte for my main and I would definitely recommend this. My husband had the chicken shish and again said it was lovely and he would prder it again. The service was great and the meals were served in a well timed manner. Enough space between course but not too long.
The atmosphere was good and they played some Turkish music as the restaurant itself was very quiet.
If I am ever back in Whitley Bay, I would choose to eat here again.

65 Victoria Terrace, Whitley BayFriendly staff I'd like to start off with. So I'm a chef by trade, I ordered one portion of chips as I bought a pizza from sainsburys. Chips weren't very hot but very yummy so after midnight I made an online order from there website not "just eat" for a pickup as I live close.. I got another portion of chips thinking they'd be hotter considering I pre-orded second time but again unfortunately some quality not very hot but I'd have them again, I got a 10inch chicken pizza not too much hotter than the chips unfortunately, pizza quality I'd say was a 4/5 star with room to improve. I love spice so I also ordered jalapeño poppers with the chilli sauce option, unfortunately the Jalapeño was not a full chilli inside like most takeouts so disappointed on that as hotter the better for me personally but both the poppers and chilli sauce was not spicy so that was a shame but still tasty none the less.. A TV in the takeaway would be nice to watch while you wait.

Unit 6 Park View Shopping Cent, Park Ave, Whitley BayWe both had a latte and cakes, different to each other, coffee was well made, the cakes were fresh and delicious. It's true that the staff are under pressure, lots of customers, few staff, but they were all working hard, the two who I had direct contact with were friendly, smiley and did a good job. All Costas have problems but this Whitley Bay branch is worth 4 ?

248, 250 Whitley Rd, Whitley BayA busy Greggs, though very efficient as despite the long que it went down very quickly & my wait was short, staff also very friendly here. Don't be disparaged about the four stars as the food from here is more than fine it was just the coffee station was a mess & it's bin was on the verge of over flowing as well as white sugar sachets were few & napkins were missing, despite such I'd still use & go back to this Greggs & my criticisms only demonstrate that this is a popular Greggs.

9, Spanish City Plaza, Whitley BayGreat visit here today. We were told upfront there was a 35 minute wait for food which we were fine with, and didnt turn out to be that long anyway. We asked for a table in the window if possible which the server was happy to accommodate and cleaned a table for us. Didn't get the waiters name but he was very helpful. Lisa took our drinks order very quickly and both of them were very on the ball with refilling our drinks as soon as we finished them, which was appreciated. Food only took about 20 minutes and it was lovely, cant complain at £7.99 for a burger and fries. We'd definitely return :)

Hartley Ln, Whitley BayAbsolutely lovely place! it's small but not overcrowded, and I felt right at home with the relaxed and cozy atmosphere. The folks were very welcoming and friendly too, easy to talk to.
I had the Halloumi Flatbread, and it was incredibly good! A really hearty portion size full of big flavours, and easily one of the best meals i've had in a long time.
They went the extra mile to accomodate my allergies and avoid cross contamination too, which was IMMENSELY appreciated. Genuinely thoughful folks, and it makes me look forward to my next visit already.
Worth every penny, and highly reccommend! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Pure fluke it was near our BnB and our friends said it was lovely but we might not get in......
Absolutely amazing set tasting menu - which when we visited was loosely 'football' themed.
Each course brought a delight for your eyes as well as the tastebuds!

Lovely friendly staff, food was superb and didn't take long to serve dispite being quite busy. Food is well priced and generous portions. It will not been as long to return. It's geet canny like ?❤️. 150-152 Whitley Rd, Whitley BayMy family and I have been coming to Chengs for years. Whitley Bay is lucky to have such a gem of a restaurant.
The food is divine, and prices more than reasonable. Service is fantastic and staff are very accommodating.
If you have any dietary requirement, the chef is more than happy to modify food to suit. As a vegan, this is by far the best Chinese I've had - the bean curd from here is out of this world!
Decor is a little dated but it adds to the charm of the place.

We ordered Sunday dinners and thankfully they did nuggets and chips for kids so my daughter had that.
I am Gluten Free, and haven’t had a good Sunday dinner out for a long time, so was pleased to see the whole menu GF. I wanted the mushroom wellington as I’m veggie too but unfortunately they had just sold the last one. I just had a veg dinner, and it was really lovely. The Yorkshire pudding was the nicest I’ve ever had, it actually tasted like a ‘real’ one. The veg was all nice and gravy lovely.
My daughter enjoyed her food too.
The staff were really friendly too which was lovely.
Really nice, can’t wait to go back again.

252 Whitley Rd, Whitley BayThis is a one off fish shop.no frills looks the same for years.but the food is the best you'll get in the area. Slightly longer waiting times to be served but maybe because there's a cafe upstairs.but worth the wait.parking is not great, but you can't have everything.

As others have said, this is a 'proper' boozer with one bar and two 'almost' separate rooms. There are several screens showing sky sports etc. Great atmosphere, well kept beers and also homemade jams available (book these in advance). Didn't try any food but the beers are well kept & there's a good selection of drinks at the bar. We always pop in for a couple before going for a curry at Shukran or Whitley Tandoori, when we're in Whitley Bay.
