5 Upper Clwyd St, RuthinWe came in for a late dinner, three of us.
We shared some small dishes which were all impeccable. Prawns, chickpea masala and baked aubergine were all delightful and we had to order some of their perfect bread to mop up the sauces which we all enjoyed!
Kylie the manager made us feel very welcome and her knowledge and recommendations were spot on!
Will be returning for more of that incredible truffle aioli !

Came easter Sunday on a visit to see friends
What a lovely pub was just gutted I couldn't drink as they had my favourite cider on and was travelling back home that day.
Lovely choice of food including gluten free options
They made hallumi fries which werent on the menu for my daughter as she couldn't have the mozzarella sticks as weren't gluten free.
The main there was a great choice most of us had the beef or turkey which was beautifully presented with a good variety of vegetable choices and a homemade Yorkshire on everyone's plate apart from the gluten free meal which was the only disappointment a Yorkshire pudding is what makes a roast and unfortunately on ordering g wasn't told that the g.f beef wouldn't have one when there are 8 of you eating and all roasts it stuck out that hers was missing, I know it's a fuss but unfortunately her not eating gluten isn't a choice it's a must for health reasons may I suggest that a barltch is made and froze so that everybody is included

6 Well St, RuthinCalled in for a couple of toasties and a brew. Had a lovely warm welcome,the place was so cosy! Ordered and our tea was with us really quickly,which we were glad as we were so cold. When the bacon and egg toastie arrived it looked delicious,could see steam coming from it, it was piping hot and my egg was cooked to perfection!!

Cilcain, MoldWhat a fab pub this is! We were staying in an Airbnb in the village, and ate and drank here a few times during our stay. Food was outstanding, lovely menu and they also catered fantastically for 2 coeliacs in our group. Staff were amazing, everyone in the village so friendly, a proper country pub! One of the best pubs I've been to, loved it and would highly recommend it!

I can say the food was outstanding, freshly cooked mixed grill for 3 of us and sirloin steak for the 4th member of our group followed by sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. We received a friendly warm welcome from the staff and the service was excellent. Will definitely be calling again.

The Park Place Pub
2 Mwrog St, RuthinGenuinely the most friendly, welcoming pub I've ever set foot in. They have a pool table and other pub games plus sports on, and you can get delicious pizzas from a mobile kitchen outside, which you can order to takeaway or eat inside the pub. Definitely recommend!!

Varteni's Cakes
Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd, RuthinAbsolutely amazing ?? second time having a cake from Varteni's and I will be ordering more in future. First of all an elephant cake for my 30th a few years ago which was so tasty it lasted around a week and the cake stayed moist and delicious. And now a safari cake for my sons 1st birthday. Absolutely love it and again delicious and so moist. Would recommend to anyone ?? very talented

Castle Mews, 8 Well St, RuthinThe restaurant was a bit difficult to find. As you entered the smell of the stairs is a bit off putting. The soup and entree were a bit disappointing but the mains more than made up for it. The lamb and leek was delicious with a very generous portion.

Let down slightly by the slow service, propensity for customers to queue when it a bar (some of these people probably hanker for the social distancing to return) and the fairly poor selection of cask ales, I didn't see anything local on.

Ruthin Kebab & Burger House
54 Well St, RuthinRuthin Kebab and Burger House has been open in Ruthin for over 30 years. This long established business has always had the same Turkish owner. My family, including husband and children, have always received excellent food and service from this kebab shop.
The kebabs and burgers are perfect and come with a lovely salad and choice of sauces. The food is always fresh, the portion size is generous and the price is very good. The shop is clean and tidy, and the staff are trustworthy and friendly.
We enjoy eating delicious food from this takeaway and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

Well St, RuthinStaff are lovely and very helpful. Food is excellent the only reason I scored a four is they didn’t have enough cheese pasties, they’d sold out at 12:30. Which I thought was poor as it was the middle of the day. But I chose something else which was also lovely. Definitely recommend it. Takeaway or sit in. Coffee is also really good.
