Llanfihangel Tal-y-llyn, BreconEnded up here after being turned away from 2 other places which were booked out, but couldn't be happier with the result. Super friendly staff and regulars, food was great and reasonably priced, our 2 kids were well looked after and welcomed. (Note - the kids portions are very generous :) )

23 High St, BreconOrdered food for 12 people on line. We were staying by Sennybridge. On line order process was so simple. Paid using card online. We were travelling and picking up on route. Easy to state time for pickup. Food was expertly wrapped and everyone enjoyed the food.

Bishops Meadow, Hay Rd, BreconWe booked The Hills for an evening meal after travelling an hour and a half for a night away
It’s a lovely destination with beautiful views and a lovely restaurant atmosphere.
The food was great, and could tell that the meat was fresh produce! There were an array of drink options which we loved, with local cider / spirit options available
The only downside would be the wait for food being just under an hour, which a table being served just before us and the burger I wanted being unavailable as they didn’t have some ingredients to go with it
Other than that, we had a lovely evening with great service from the staff working

Mexican oval bite was delicious and better than what you get in England but the reason for the 1 star loss is for me personally the custard slices are not very good. Icing very bitty and not a lot of vanilla flavour from the custard and they seem to be smaller thinner than a mobile phone!

Pwllgloyw, BreconFive of us took our two labs with us for Sunday lunch and the food was excellent. We were offered seating as soon as we arrived and had a great spot in the lounge for the five of us with our two large dogs. The service was prompt and very friendly. We all thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday roast meals. It was all hot and served with plenty of vegetables and we also had cauliflower cheese. The desserts were also very enjoyable and we well presented.

Bridge End Inn
Bell St, Talgarth, BreconWe stopped in this pub after a long day of hiking the Brecon Beacons, and it was the perfect end to our day. The beer was good and at less than £5 a pint the price was great! The bartender and patrons were friendly. They weren’t serving food the night we came so we had to go to a nearby restaurant, but we heard there would be music so decided to return for another pint afterwards. Very cosy and friendly atmosphere.

7 Castle St, BreconAccording to all the reviews Sunnys came out tops in Brecon. The lady running our touring caravan park recommended Sunnys.
We were not disappointed. Food was all freshly cooked whilst I waited. Its location is not car friendly! I parked outside on double yellow lines. Everything we had was well presented , piping hot and very tasty. As Chinese takeaways go this ranks in my top five around the U.K..

7 Lion St, BreconA lovely little place, we ordered latte, tea (a good amount in the teapot!) and the biggest teacake that I’ve have ever seen - which was delicious! The staff were amazing and so helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, didn’t get the name of the girl who served us but she was so helpful in swapping my mum’s latte over into a takeaway cup due to her struggling with the size of cup (due to my mum’s illness!). She was very friendly and approachable. I found that the staff were also very quick in cleaning and maintaining the tables after customers. The atmosphere was very chilled and friendly - so pleased we stopped for a quick cuppa out of the rain! Good job, guys ❤️?

Coffee Bar, 4 Castle St, BreconNoticed this off the high street and we wanted a quick start to the day - bacon sandwich and coffee - but didn't fancy one of the high street coffee chains. Very impressed - this would certainly be a regular stop for us if we were local, and if we return to Brecon we would certainly call in. Staff very efficient and pleasant, really nice environment, clean and well set out. Our coffee and sandwiches were delivered very promptly to the table, the sandwiches were really good, quality ingredients and well prepared. Coffee was also really good. Plenty of selection with regard to cakes etc. and only sorry I could not justify a cake to top off my breakfast!!! Very good value for money. Overall really impressed, a great find.

39 High St, BreconAmazing Sunday breakfast! I ordered from the pancake menu and my partner had the 'crumpet stack' special.
Both meals were quick to arrive, piping hot and tasty.
What I love is that I could choose the amount of pancakes (2 or 4) and what I wanted to put on them. I didn't have to pay for excess sauce and whipped cream which is usually automatically served (locally and nationwide) and priced at over half of what I paid for this lovely breakfast, that I washed down with a silkly flat white.
The staff were friendly, polite and clearly customer focused. Thank you - a lovely start to our lazy Sunday.

Usually most spoons I've been to has good deal for drinks but food are usually average at most.
But this place is different.
Pizza here were AMAZING!!
Felt like wood fired pizza!
Food was good. Drinks well, its spoons. Need I say more.
Went 3x that week, did not disappoint once.
(I cannot comment on the rooms and hotel service though as I did not use those services.)

The Lodge Brecon B&B
The Lodge, Llanfrynach, BreconWe have visited the Lodge for five days during our New Year's Eve vacation.
It was really enjoyable stay as our hosts have created a cosy, homely atmosphere.
We have also received valuable tips about walking routes from Bronwyn and Steve.
Breakfasts were delicious, for every taste.
Great location, it's right in the middle of park, and accessible to everything you'd like to see.
The drying and bicycle room is a very nice additon.
We would definitely recommend this fantastic place to visit.

Groesffordd, BreconStumbled on this little gem by pure chance and it was a wonderful stumble! Tucked away in the quiet off street in Groesffordd, looking almost like one of the houses, this pub delivers a warm and friendly atmosphere, good wine list, and exceptional food. Stopped for an early evening meal on a Monday night and although (because it was very early) we were the only diners it did not feel uncomfortable. Locals came in for an evening drink and there was lots of chatter and local banter. The bar man was glorious! We had the most amazing 3 course meal, this is not just pub food this was refined, delicious and bursting with flavour. The pub is nicely decorated giving an overall excellent evening out. Would highly recommend to anyone.
