The Tea Rooms
Chain Walk, Glynneath, NeathOne of the nicest afternoon teas - if not THE nicest afternoon tea I have ever had. Everything tastes fresh and really good quality - the homemade sausage rolls and warm homemade scones nearly made me shed a tear because they were that good. I brought the rest of my cakes home, which was no problem because the servers kindly packaged the remaining food up for me and my mam, and oh my gosh they were to die for. The brownie was fudgey, the coffee mousse was delicious and the Victoria sponge was unbelievable. It had me doing a happy dance in my kitchen, it was that good. Also, the staff here are really lovely. There was a small mix-up with my booking but it wasn’t an issue at all, the staff immediately sorted it and took care of me and my mam. They were all so lovely, polite and kind. Me and my mam can’t wait to go back!

The Old White Horse Inn
12 High St, Pontneddfechan, NeathHad a really lovely time for Sunday lunch today with our two pups who had never been to a pub before. Very warm welcome, even got two towels for our pups to lie on as we just got back from a very long walk. Very dog friendly with their dog menu too, and better still our roast was beautiful. Will def be back when we come back over for a walk.

Sgwd Gwladys
Pontneddfechan, Glynneath, NeathLovely pub, good food and really helpful friendly staff. Great location for the waterfall hikes. The room was a good size clean and cozy. The mattress and bedding were very comfortable. The bedframe however was another story, creaking louder than my knees after a long day's hike. Any bedroom acrobatics felt more dangerous with the fear the bed frame may collapse before you even reach page two of the karma sutra. You have been warned, safety first.
