Cracking 18th birthday venue. We had an 18th birthday yesterday out the back under the canopy.
Absolutely brilliant venue and atmosphere. We hired an acoustic guitar singer which added to the excellent venue.
There is a drinks van out the back to save going in to order at the bar each time.
Some of our party had the tapas and the food looked superb and on point.
Cracking service and a top day.

This restaurant is in Wind St which is the nightlife centre of Swansea with many bars, pubs, and restaurants. Our visit was on a Thursday evening 7.30pm.\n\nThe first thing that strikes you is the space. Tables well away from each other, room to walk and a great sense of openness. Such a nice change from places that just cram in as many tables as possible. But I do wonder if this had been done to accommodate a large group.\n\nThe Atmosphere.\nQuite lively. This is a university town, so lots of youngsters. It's ok, but not somewhere for a romantic candle-lit dinner. This is an old building with high ceilings, so there's quite a bit of echo noise.\n\nThe Food.\nGood, very good! My prawns on ciabatta croutons were delicious, and my tagliatelle carbonara with burrata, prosciutto, and pancetta was one of the tastiest dishes I've had for some time. My wife loved the pan fried sea bass,and she's not easy to please. The wine list was pretty uninteresting, but then this is not Michelin Star!\n\nThe Service\nGood. Very little time spent waiting but also not rushed or pushy. Our server Maggie was great. A real credit to the restaurant, efficient, professional, and very personable.\n\nIt's very easy to get snobbish about chain restaurants, but it often pays to put that aside. I'll be more than happy to go back.

One of the best pubs I’ve ever been to in my life! The food and drinks were absolutely superb – packed with flavour and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch; the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The atmosphere? Absolutely lit – a perfect blend of cosy and vibrant, making it an ideal spot to chill with friends or enjoy a night out.

Prices were more than reasonable for the quality you get – let’s be real, you can’t expect Primark prices at a Gucci-level experience, and this place definitely delivers premium quality. They even had some great cocktail offers going on, which made it even better. Shoutout to the bartender – such a cool and friendly guy who really knew his craft. The boss was also around and took time to chat with us, which made the experience feel even more personal and welcoming.

Overall, an unforgettable spot. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a proper pub experience with great vibes, amazing food and drinks, and genuinely lovely people running the place.

Great first visit to Bryn-Y-Mor, had the mixed grill which was cooked perfectly, and service was great, very attentive.\n\nThe only issue I found, when we first sat down we had to move because we could smell the toilets, then realised that the door to the gents was propped open, but after moving, we couldn’t smell them any longer so this didn’t disrupt our meal.\n\nLooking around there was a lot of advertisement about bands on the Saturdays and a quiz on the Thursday so in eager to return. \n\nThanks again! :)

Can something be done about this? It takes them 5 minutes to refuel their car, our EV ones take up to an hour sometimes.
Food was ok I guess, lots of tiny fryer scraps in the chip holder, then I discover the Philly cheese is just a double quarter pounder with cheese sauce and onions instead of ketchup mustard and pickles.

Lovely place just off the M4 junction 46. We were travelling to Pembrokeshire from Somerset in our motorhome with doggie and needed somewhere to stop off overnight. One phone call to the plough and harrow and we had ourselves a stop over. Lovely large car park with easy access. Nothing too much trouble. And no rush to leave in the morning. Serve food till 8.30pm and have a great choice on the menu. Plenty of selection of drinks. Dogs allowed in bar. Locals all very friendly. Nice quite night overlooking fields. Oh, and the ladies toilets are lovely. Thank you to reece (phone call) and ceri in pub (sorry if I've spelt names wrong). Although we woke up to rain, it was so helpful to have this stop over on route.

Called into the Woodman with a friend yesterday lunchtime. In the main area nearly all the tables were empty. Sat on one for two. Young waitress was sent by the man standing at desk to tell us that table was taken and so we're all the others. We said we just wanted a coffee and were told we could have it outside but no snack . We left and will not go back.

When I give this a 4 star, I do it with all the love in the world.

For £5.99 for a meal, it's a great deal.

The food is pretty much always very decent, I've had this maybe 25+ times, all different dishes and only once or twice have I found it to be lacking slightly.

Authentic Thai grub, cooked by a small army or small Thai women. I love the vibe.

Well worth a visit.
The indoor market is worth a visit for many reasons, but this alone is up there.

I get it once a week for me and my wife, and £18 odd pounds provides a dinner, and next days lunch for us both.

Good value.

Called in for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. Bruschetta and pasta were very tasty, lovely wine and cheesecake! Also great coffee. Will definitely be back soon. Staff were also friendly and attentive.

I used to visit the cafe over 20 years ago when Eira actually ran the place, went every Friday breakfast was always stunning. called in yesterday, amazed the place was still running. I was with a friend and decided to grab a breakfast and walk down memory lane. obviously changed hands , was greeted by the 'new' owner who was fab with a great way with the public. service was swift, price brilliant food was exceptional. best quality content, really well cooked. best I've had in years. deffo be back!!!

I have been a regular customer of Cafe Nero at Fforestfach Retail Park. I have on occasion did my work there while enjoying my drink. I liked the fact I could sit, use wireless and have access to a power socket. The staff were extremely friendly, joyful and professional. 2 staff in particular stand out, Ffion and Oskar. Always polite, cheerful and courteous going the extra mile. Highly recommend this branch. So far the best branch I have been to so far out of the Cafe Nero chain. The coffees and other drinks are excellent and very good for Non Dairy as well. Chai, Latte, Fruit booster and Frappes have been really good, and portions are generous.

This is my must-go/must-have place for fish and chips if I visit Swansea. Definitely one of best fish and chips I have ever had for a quite long time.

The food is freshly done while you wait in the shop and it is hot and fresh! Fish is super fresh (you can taste a bit sweetness) with the crunchy batter outside, just so perfectly done! The chips are so tasty and I do love the sweetness of the potato, just so nice and to be honest, so far this is one of my most favourites (I am quite picky on how chip is cooked). The scampi, definitely worth a try, so tasty! The Irish curry is the best combo/compliment to eat with, the spicy is not too hot but just right!

The portion (is huge compared with the price I paid back home) for the price is very economical friendly. The staff there are so nice and friendly.

Overall, I highly recommend this place and definitely deserve a visit back if you give a try!

Wow! Had the most amazing breakfast at Square Pegs this morning. We are on holiday in the area and love going out for breakfast. We've been to a few in the UK and beyond and I must say the food at Square Peg would have to be on the top of our most favourite breakfast cafes. The food is divine. Had the goats cheese, beetroot puree, poached egg, avocado on sourdough and it was to die for. Will be back before we head home that is for sure.

Stopped by on Saturday morning for breakfast. So glad we did!! Greeted with a warm welcome, gave us time to look at the menu, and then took our order.
We ordered 2 full breakfasts. £8.50 each and well worth it! Bacon, sausages, hash brown, black pudding, fried eggs, beans, and toast were cooked beautifully! Bacon was so tasty!! Decent cup of coffee, too!! Toilet was clean. Plenty of room to park.
We will 100% be calling back here! Already told family and friends about it!!

Had a great time August Bank Holiday 2025, love the spacious room, and bathroom, staff were very helpful and friendly, locals were friendly, weather being warm helped me enjoy staying there .
Location in town centre next to cafes, shops etc. train station 10 min walk, taxis if you need to go further afield, bus station 5-10 min walk from pub.

I came here with my two children this morning and the staff were fantastic! So attentive and nothing was too much trouble! All drinks were served so quickly and delish! My 2 year old then knocked over his babychino and before we knew it one member of staff was cleaning it up and another maki g a replacement! Slim Chickens in Swansea is fantastic!
We ordered the tenders, which were really good, super crispy and juicy. The star of the show, though, was the Hot Honey Ranch Sandwich, which was absolutely delicious and had the perfect kick. The Classic Chicken Sandwich and the Honey BBQ Sandwich were also great.
We especially enjoyed the side order of toast and the amazing variety of sauces on the side, they really complemented the chicken perfectly. Overall, the food is amazing for a quick, delicious bite.

Been 7 times to this wonderful coffee shop, however today’s visit left me disappointed.
Asked for a coffee to sit in, given it in a takeaway cup. The server did offer to swap for a cup.
I waited clearly for a table, another party pushed infront and took the seats.

Tables not wiped & pastry over tables & floor.
Senior management talking to one member of staff, whilst one server was left to do ordering & making; Whilst 5-6 people waiting.
3 people on laptops / devices.
Sadly inside there isn’t enough seating to enjoy.
Toilet sadly not in a good condition

Todays experience sadly didn’t meet the previous visits standard
