Came in on a weekday lunchtime without a booking and got seated straight away. It was extremely quiet with only 3 other tables occupied. Food was good but did take a little while to come out, especially given how quiet the restaurant was. The only annoying thing was the automatic 10% tip added to the bill, when service was fairly slow and plates took a while to be taken away after the meal. Also, there was who I assume to be the manager sat in the corner of the restaurant on a laptop, with a repetitive loud sound coming out of it which was a bit annoying. It was definitely an enjoyable experience but there were a couple of let downs.

Great greek food and amazing service. I am allergic to dairy and nuts and was informed of all my options before ordering. I brought along some pitta breads of my own as I could not have the ones served and the staff kindly heated them up for me and served them with my meal. Booked for a party of 11 and the atmosphere was lovely and welcoming. Would definitely visit again and thank you for a lovely night.

The Steak was beautifully cooked with a fantastic sauce.\nWe also had a side order of Sauté Potatoes which I know sounds a simple dish, but these were great , well seasoned with red onions.\nThe Pinot was smooth and refreshing and the Chocolate Fondue Dessert was the perfect end to the meal,\nAll the ingredients are clearly top quality and I’d rather pay slightly more for a memorable meal , than a forgettable average meal in a Pub for example.\nAlthough you can still choose some very good value options on this menu\nThe only issue is you will need to book , weeks ahead ,as we are clearly not the only impressed Customers .\nDefinitely a 5 Star Plus!

The pizzas are noticeably healthier than lots of other places, all whilst being equally tasty and fairly priced (roughly £15 for a pizza, but like a big pizza). A delicious Sunday roast, with a variety of seasonal vegetables. There was a good choice of puddings, the fruit crumble and custard topping the chart for us. There were 10 of us - we were very well looked after by friendly polite staff who brought me an ice cream with a candle in it for my birthday! The children's menu was good and reasonably priced, and the shelves of board games was a bonus. If I had a small grumble it would be the price of the roast dinner for children - more expensive than the other child meals. I would definitely recommend the Drawing Board.

Popped into another local pub on the off chance of a table for 2 for a Sunday roast to find out they were full. We contacted The White Horse who were able to accommodate us.\nCameron looked after us very well, from showing us to our table, which was lovely, explaining the menu and advising us of items out of stock. When we ordered at the bar we were advised that as we were ordering 2 items from the “small plates” menu to start, it would only cost us another £1 to have a 3rd - so we did!\n Cameron brought some of the food to the table, (which was excellent, the beef cooked to perfection) and was very friendly offering sauces, extra drinks etc. \nAs we had filled ourselves up on starters there was quite a bit of food left so Cameron popped it in a box for us to take home.\nThe pub was really busy but there was a great atmosphere and all of the staff were great. \nWe will definitely be going back again soon.

Café was small and comfortable, service was friendly and obliging and excellent scrambled eggs with salmon fitted in with special dietary requirements. Great coffee. Only downside is steep steps to cloakroom which might deter elderly and also disabled visitors (but doesn't deter the cheerful service!)

We recently celebrated my daughters engagement party at The House. Myself, my entire family, friends, all of the guests were just so impressed with the service. We were able to decorate the venue the evening before which was a big help on the day. The bar team, the security team, everyone was just so lovely. We were so well taken care of. Nothing was too much trouble. We partied from 2pm until 1am and throughout the entirety of the event the team at The House did not stop smiling. I simply can not put into words just how amazing the team at The House were.
If you are thinking of private hire for any event I would highly recommend this venue. It's visually stunning and the service was just phenomenal from start to finish.

We've lunched and dined here several times. Food has always been first class. However we have found in the past that service can be slow if the place is busy. This is partly due to the extraordinary amount of takeawys they sell. On one occasion we were sat in a window seat and was fascinated by the sheer number of Ubers and electric bikes constantly pulling up. We then realised that our food was extremely slow coming out of the kitchen! So last night (21st Aug) we chose to book in for 6.30pm and the service was excellent as was the food. A few folks were arriving as we left, around 8.00pm and the takeaways were beginning to be dispatched! So, my advice is book an early table. Otherwise cannot fault the place and it was noticeably the cleanest Indian we have been in for some time. The staff were very friendly too. (Bill for 4 including a bottle of wine, beer and two courses came to just £101)

The king prawn satay was divine the prawns were as fresh as if they’d jumped out of the sea onto our plates . The king prawns in sweet and sour were equally good . Been regulars here for a while now and it is consistently fantastic both when dining in and ordering for collection (10% discount when collecting). The food is always fresh, authentic and full of flavour.

Additionally, the staff have been brilliant at catering to our dietary restrictions without any fuss and every visit has been smooth and hassle-free.

Recommended dishes (from a vegetarian point of view): vegetarian Thai green curry, vegetarian Tom Yum soup, coconut rice and the mango sticky rice whenever it’s available. I've added photos of these in takeaway boxes (love the leak-proof packaging).

Highly recommend this place if you're after delicious and authentic Thai food.

What a gem of a place. We decided last minute to have a stopover in Leamington on our way from Derbyshire to Hampshire and I left it with hubby to chose a restaurant which doesn't always go well. However he excelled himself, Eleven has all the things we look for bob on, independent, small menu, good wines at reasonable prices. Added to all this, there is Jean-Christophe at front of house who makes you feel so welcome you leave feeling like a regular. We will definitely make the effort to revisit. The food is unpretentious, tasty, and perfectly executed. We ate mussels and chicken parfait starters, lamb and bavette mains. We drank a lovely Chablis and a divine Merlot from Cahor. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Hayashi Japanese Restaurant

We came here as a family for a celebration, the restaurant was recommended to us by friends.

We ordered soft shell crab Temaki, spicy edamame, chicken gyozas and vegetable spring rolls. All of the starters were delicious.

For mains we ordered normal and Vegetarian Katsu Curry. We were disappointed when it arrived as the sauce was covering the Tempura prawns and Pumpkin which made the batter very soggy, it would’ve been better if the main was on top of the sauce so you still had a crunch.

The reason for 1 less star was because the dessert was extremely disappointing. It was a Ferrero Roche ice cream, it looked nothing like the photo on the menu and was literally taken straight out of the freezer. The Ferero Roche was rock hard due to being frozen and the ice cream was standard supermarket stuff. For £6 it was poor quality and presentation.

Another thing to note is there is a sizzling plate option which a lot of people around us seemed to opt for but it left our clothes and hair all smelling of the grease/oil when we left so bear that in mind when you go.

Overall, the staff were all brilliant and we had a laugh with them. They were very attentive and kind. Food was really delicious and we’d come back - just would not order a dessert.

Had the Oxford breakfast and really enjoyed it – full of flavour. The staff were welcoming, and Lisa served me with a smile. Plenty of seating available. There was a great selection of cakes too; I picked up a flapjack and some chocolate chip shortbread to take home.

This is a great locals pub. Good beer, very clean Los and a warm welcome. I was past every day and I see the cleaning of the signs, pavement, smokers area and more. They take great pride. If you want a good pub, with a good local landlord please give them support. Beer was £4 a pint at March 2025.

Cheapest pub I know and friendly been going here about 25 years from when it was the cask and bottle. Has changed hands a few times but seems like the new landlords are doing a good job. Decent pint and great out door space for the area they have.

What fun! My boyfriend and I popped in here on a Sunday and stayed for many more! We sung on the karaoke, had some pints, and had the best Sunday we‘ve had in ages! Such friendly staff and locals 10/10! Although our karaoke was an 11/10 hahaha!

Excellent food, excellent service. Would recommend the pork - very tender and flavoursome and served with a generous helping of hand-cut chips. Delicious. You can enjoy it all over a pint in the pub next door.

I agree with the reviewer who said this place has a charm of its own. I hadn't visited before and just wanted a light lunch. The proprietress rustled up fresh onion soup (I could hear the onion being chopped!). The cheese and croutons adorning the soup were functional rather than fancy, but the soup was excellent and justified the "bistro" claim. Give it a whirl!

We cannot thank, and rate, this Fish & Chip Shop highly enough!

We had ask them if they could help us out at 3 days notice, having been let down by a supplier (for the typical sandwiches/wraps/etc. spread) for an 80th birthday party (55 guests on a Friday night).

They were so accommodating and helpful coming up with ideas. For less than half the price, they provided instead a smorgasbord of classic and modern chip shop favourites, prepared and ready for collection bang-on-time.

Not only did everyone’s faces light up when they smelt and saw the banquet laid out, but seeing the joy and hearing such wonderful comments on how much they were loving the food, was amazing…it subsequently turned out to be such a big part of the success of the party.

To be able to cater for such a broad range of guests in age and tastes - and at a very reasonable price - was above and beyond our expectations.

We simply cannot thank the Heathcote Fish Bar and all their staff enough…their food played such a huge part in making the night so successful, special and memorable for all the right reasons.

This is a deservedly popular lunch venue be it eat in or take out. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It can get very busy at tines due to it's popularity but the food is worth the wait - the pork banh mi is my favourite takeaway.

Halikarnas Kebab Shop

Got to love Halikarnas
The quality of the mixed kebab has stood the test of time.
First ate here as a young tike, 20 years ago after drinking at The Birch Tree/Voodoo.

Their kebabs are truly the OG 7th wonder of the ancient world.

Full to the brim, robust with meat, fresh from the fight dribbling with sauces~garlic, chilli, mint yoghurt (the chilli is packing ?), and topped with really fresh crisp mixed salad. The rig is stuffed more giggity than a fat man with a Christmas ham.

They are still doing the very same delicious, orthopedically supportive, big pittas.

It's nothing fancy, but what they do is correct for the customer.

Ordered delivery last night, after a 6 year hiatus and we were so glad to discover that The Ensh*ttification of Everything, has not reached Halikarnas kebabs.
