Popped in for some late lunch/dinner after visiting family and well worth it. Lovely old looking pub and cosy. We had the Sunday roast sirloin dinner. Roast pots, 2 nice sirloin slices, large Yorkshire pud and a bowl of carrot, cabbage n what looked like cheesy leek, but it was delicious. Well worth it. Only quibble.....wants a few more potatoes lol
This a really beautiful Inn. Lovely setting in typically English village. With a church and huge Village green. Fabulous houses.The Inn is historically glorious, ancient beams, stained glass windows and even a seddan chair! The atmosphere is stunning. We had a delicious Sunday Lunch , absolutely all you could wish for,Crunchy, fluffy roast potato, glazed carrotts, leeks in white sauce, cabbage, Roast Pork was tender, also home made apple sauce and Crackling! Lovely herbs.

Amazing historic pub, authentically decorated with a great atmosphere and friendly service.Delicious fish cakes with a generous garnish of lovely fresh watercress - highly recommend.Staff were very accomodating of my elderly mother (who can be quite demanding) when we brought her in for mothers day, and were very amenable when she decided she wanted to move tables and of her general mobility issues - so thank you so much to everyone for their patience!
