We recently visited Slug & Lettuce for the bottomless brunch and had the absolute pleasure of being served by Sam W and Amie. From start to finish, they were friendly, attentive, and made sure our glasses were never empty!\n\nThe service was seamless – they checked in regularly without being intrusive, made great recommendations, and kept the atmosphere upbeat and fun. Their energy and smiles really added to the whole experience, making it feel extra special.\n\nThe food was fresh, tasty, and arrived quickly, and the drinks kept flowing exactly as promised. Sam and Amie worked brilliantly as a team and created such a welcoming, lively vibe that we honestly didn’t want to leave!\n\nIf you’re planning a brunch, I can’t recommend this place enough – especially if you’re lucky enough to have Sam and Amie looking after you. They truly went above and beyond to make our day perfect.

We came for dinner on a Friday evening at 2030. It was out first time here and the small restaurant is lovely. Great atmosphere, modern decor and very clean and tidy. We were welcomed and seated quickly and had our drinks order taken by a young lady with brown hair who was very helpful and smiley! She informed us that the restaurant was very busy and there may be a small wait on food, which we didn't mind. Our drinks came quickly and she took our food order. We had the sharer platter for two. The food came out quickly, I certainly didn't think there was any kind of wait on food which is a credit to how hard the staff were working, especially the lady looking after us that did not stop the whole time we were in the restaurant and always happy to help and smiling. The food was absolutely delicious, our highlights were the ribs and the pork burger and there was plenty of it! We couldn't finish the platter. A brilliant experience for us with delicious food and 10/10 service. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming again.

Beautiful pub, clean and refreshing set on the outskirts of Bromsgrove. Service very attentive, food presented well and piping hot. Staff very good and caring! With constant fantastic customer service from start to finish. Grounds looked after very well, clean tidy and very inviting. The lion story board outside was outstanding and really showed character of the pub and its meaning.

My son and I popped into Dry Spy Bar in Bromsgrove and were seriously impressed! The staff are super friendly and make you feel welcome straight away.

The food was spot on, even the “bar snacks” were generous portions, cooked perfectly, and great value for money. Honestly, you’d expect to pay more for this quality.

The beer selection is brilliant, with the XPA being a real standout, crisp, full of flavour, and perfect with the food.

Upstairs has a lovely open-air seating area with cover for when it rains, comfy sofas, and great table service, a brilliant space to relax.

We lucked out visiting on a Wednesday when they do £1 wings, good size, great sauces, and definitely not the tiny “sparrow wings” you sometimes get.

Such a good experience we went back the very next day! A real gem for chilled vibes, great food, and well-priced drinks.

We had my husband's surprise 50th birthday party here on Saturday night (15 Nov 25) and the whole evening was a huge success. 10/10 for Stacey, Jay and Elvis who made the night go with a bang (despite the previous night flooding part of the cellar and front bar!) The Buffett was huge and accommodated everything from vegetarians to ceoliac requirements and everything in-between. A well stocked bar kept everyone happy and we all had a fantastic night\n If you're looking for a venue to book definitely give this one a go you won't be disappointed ?

I have to say this place is amazing! I’ve lived away from Bromsgrove for a while (in Australia where the hospitality business leads and has huge competition), but whilst visiting was told to visit Ascotts because it was amazing. It did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the service was best! The girls were so great especially our server Amelia she was the best, recommending dishes and being very attentive. The decor is cool and different from anything anywhere near. This is a must visit venue for great food, cocktails, drinks and above and beyond service!

I’ve already reviewed this takeaway positively several months back but wanted to review again on our meal tonight.

We ordered the family deal which came with so much meat. We had kofte kebab, shish kebab, chicken kebab, donner meat (chicken and lamb) there was loads! We got a side of onion rings, sauces, 4 pitta bread , chips.. and salad which was lovely. The meat was excellent, my son said it’s the best takeaway food he’s had in years. It was all cooked so nicely. Even the salad was varied & plentiful. We also had a Hawaiian pizza which was banging. Can honestly say the whole meal was outstanding value for money.

Just to add; we ordered at peak time on a Saturday night and received it hot (in Rubery) in under an hour.

We took a punt on this place yesterday - on a flying trip from Peterborough. Well, what a find. The food was top notch. Good quality ingredients and great flavours. It was excellent value for money also.
But what made it for us was the service. Both the people who were involved with speaking to us (taking the order & then giving it to us 20 mins later) were so friendly. It really made the experience. It’s been there (in the same family) since 1983 for a reason. It’s fabulous.

We stayed overnight Saturday 9th September and after staying in several similar-rated hotels, found the Bromsgrove Hotel & Spa a breath of fresh air. Have my horses in Bromsgrove & go to this cafe every time me and my partner fancy a sandwich. Dave and the lady who own/run the cafe are amazing. I’ve never been anywhere and had such brilliant customer service as I do here - the banter flows and they always have a smile on their face - always ask how you are and want to have a conversation with you. Nothing is ever too much trouble! I will never stop going here. The sandwiches are too die for, lovely soft crusty white bread with a pick of whatever you want on! Haggis is an absolute game changer! If you don’t know, get to know. It’s wonderful - 5* all round. If you have been to Dave’s Cafe! Run there now. ☺️

Last night was our first visit there, the venue is quite small. But we went to see a band and was made to feel most welcome by the staff and those attending. It was brilliant night , really nice atmosphere. We definitely will be returning .

Cannot fault this restaurant. My first time there and it's 1st class. Staff will alter any meal to suit you. Food is amazing. Parking is easy as there's a massive car park.

The food, as always, was incredible! We had two beef and one turkey roast dinners. Aish made us feel so cared with her attentiveness. Amazing service, would definitely recommend!
