Ugly Butterfly Restaurant and Bar Cornwall
Carbis Bay Estate, Carbis Bay, Saint IvesOh wow the food just kept on coming. This was absolutely stunning. Every mouthful exploding with flavours. The pea soup and the lamb were my favourite. Stunning setting, beautiful surroundings. We also paired with the wine tasting course and it did not disappoint. Lovely flavours to compliment each course. This evening was a real treat and if your able to book a table you will not be disappointed

Bier Huis Grand Café
16 St Andrew's St, Saint IvesWhat a blast!
The food was delicious (we had the Belgian tapas - which was a first for us - & a honeycomb waffle that could cure world peace), the atmosphere was warm, the staff were welcoming & so knowledgeable…because this is a great place for beer enthusiasts!
So much choice - some more well known labels, some niche - we were given great recommendations & all were served in gorgeous glassware & tasted heavenly.
Would highly recommend to all! We shall return one day…

Porthmeor Beach Cafe
Porthmeor Beach, Saint IvesWe went here to celebrate my in-laws ruby wedding anniversary and the staff were super friendly. We had one of the booths over looking the beach. They let us come sooner to decorate it too. Really enjoyed the food/drink selection. Would definitely come back!

Blas Burgerworks
The, Warren, Saint IvesAMAZING. That sums it up really, no complaints at all about this banging burger joint. Went here two weeks in a row on our holiday to St Ives, my partner had the special with beef both times and said they were some of the best burgers he's had.
I was impressed that all of their burgers could be made vegetarian and vegan. The beef / bean / chicken way of doing things is great, makes for a less stressful ordering experience.
It's also nice to be able to eat the same things as everyone else as a vegetarian, instead of sitting there with your sad salad or the dreaded falafel wrap when your mates dig into their gourmet burgers.
Also that cookie dough dessert you're not sure you should get? Get it. You won't regret it.
Love their commitment to being green as well, karma drinks are a personal fave anyway and always happy to see them on a menu. The GuacaNOle was awesome and I'll be experimenting with making something like that myself!
Highly recommend, don't miss out on this gem when you visit St Ives.

Pilchard Press Alehouse
Wharf Rd, Saint IvesWhen this place first opened it felt like stepping back in time. It felt like a makeshift secret hideout with barely any matching furniture, make shift seats and tables, barrels behind the bar with drinks poured directly from the tap. Over the years the place has tidied itself up, which imo has taken away some of its previous charm and quirkiness, but that is very much down to opinion. This is still the best place in town if you want a real cask ale that isnt Doombar or Tribute.

West Beach Bakery
Porthmeor Beach, Saint IvesWe visited twice and voted it our best beach vibe in St Ives. Even after a long season the staff were great. We had greek food twice and it was delicious and very authentic. We were lucky to get there as Beach west was closing for the winter but definitely worth visiting in 2025!

The Rum & Crab Shack
Wharf Rd, Saint IvesI’m surprised Rum and Crab is rated only 4.2 stars at the time of writing, because it truly feels like a luxury in St Ives. For the quality, the prices are very reasonable. I went with a party of three, and we shared a platter for four — the value was excellent, and the food itself was outstanding. This is definitely a must-visit in St Ives. A unique spot with a fantastic atmosphere and a wide selection of drinks.

Clubhouse Restaurant & Bar
Church Ln, Lelant, Saint Ives-
Superb2 Reviews 5
The Golden Lion
Market Pl, Saint IvesPub split into two halves (bar and lounge), with a central bar serving both sides. Small beer garden out back that’s over looked by the town church, no sea view due to the pub being located in the town centre (nice spot on a sunny day). Pub shows sport on a few tvs and has a typical selection of drinks on offer. The place could do with some TLC to bring it back to life a bit, as it does feel a bit soulless if it’s quiet.

Jus' Desserts St Ives
Wharf Rd, Saint IvesWent to jus desserts a few weeks ago for a crepe, although they where not available due to peak summer times my server (jack) showed me many other options, I opted for a hot waffle with lotas and Nutella sauce, lotus crumb, butterscotch wippy and whipped cream with a wafer disk. 10/10 would definitely go again and the perfect dessert for my holiday

Yellow Canary
12 Fore St, Saint IvesWhen you see the cafe name proudly inset in the doorstep, you know someone here cares about details. We were picking up sandwiches for a long train journey but the croissant looked so delicious that we took one of those for breakfast. And then we noticed there was only one pain au raisins left - so we took that too. A boring train ride was transformed into a real treat. The sandwiches were very large but absolutely sensational. Competition in St Ives is fierce but @theyellowcanary is standout.

Willy Waller's Ice Cream Factory
Wharf Rd, Saint IvesThe raspberry frozen yoghurt was absolutely delicious and the staff was very friendly. Fair prices.
The only unusual thing was that the “Captain” rum and raisin had a chocolate ice cream base instead of vanilla, which was different to normal rum and raisin, but not necessarily bad.
But all the flavours we tried were lovely.

Courtyard Tea Room
Cyril Noall Square. Off, Fore St, Saint IvesWe really enjoyed our cream tea. Lovely service, great prices and owned by a local lady. Some of the reviews here seem a bit unfair. I’d stick to the English tea…there is better coffee elsewhere in town.

Yeungs
6 Tregenna Pl, Saint IvesWe've had a takeaway from here many times - its a family run business and the family are genuine, relentlessly hardworking and make the most delicious Chinese food. The veggies are always crisp and fresh, tofu and black bean is delicious, chow mein really good - my personal favourite is the Chinese curry and my son loves all of the above with a side of salt and pepper chips (which are also covered in garlic and chilli!) All fab!!!

The Beach Club Restaurant
S W Coast Path, Carbis Bay, Saint IvesI was worried initially about coming here as I had read many bad reviews. However, we had an excellent meal - the food was delicious, the service was quick and attentive and there was live music playing in the background. The view is wonderful from the restaurant, despite the weather having been a bit miserable whilst we were there. The decor is nice and the tables are nicely spaced apart so it doesn’t feel crowded. It is an expensive place to eat but at the same time the food was tasty and of high quality and the setting is one of a kind. I would return again, and was glad to have come here.
