We all had breakfast which we all thought was great and a nice treat.

Nicha's Thai Kitchen
143 Market St, Dalton-in-FurnessLovely little restaurant which I know we'd frequent if we lived nearby. We'd had a large lunch so we were eating late (7:30pm) only to find everywhere other than stodgy/salty takeaways had stopped serving food at 7, and those that served later were to be shut at 8. Nicha's is open until 10pm and were more than happy to serve us, we wanted something light and full of vegetables (to avoid getting bloated again) and went for the noodle soup, which was perfect. Fresh & crisp vegetables in a light broth with delicious noodles, and the waitresses brought out a tray of seasonings and explained what each one was allowing us to flavour the broth (and it's spiciness) to our liking. Meat was also incredibly tender.
Plenty of other traditional menu options as well if you do want a more traditional and strong favoured meal (speaking to others in the restaurant at the time), but an ideal restaurant for light healthy feeling meal after a week of eating out every night.

The Black Dog Inn, Dalton-in-Furness
Broughton Rd, Dalton-in-FurnessWe only stayed one night, but the Inn and its owners and employees topped all our expectations.
We booked the family room and it was beautifully furnished, the bathroom is also modern and everything was very clean.
At dinner we ate burgers, they were very delicious and the meat was great.
In the morning, there was a cute and hearty breakfast.
I wish we would stay for longer!!
Thanks to the staff, I can only recommend this place.

Golden Ball Inn
15 Tudor Square, Dalton-in-FurnessWhat can I say, you ain't getting a better night out in the town of Dalton-in-furness than the golden ball. Huge selection of drinks, live bands, karaoke, pool table, darts. Staff are miles ahead of the other establishments around the small town. So don't hesitate. Just get there. No stars on food, they don't serve it. But they do have Pringles. Even bbq ones.

However, we, and others, have rung to place an order only to get a recorded message which is out of date, stating it is closed!!!! Again we, and others, have driven to the Jade to verify this, and lo and behold it is open taking orders from people. When I and another lady, said we had rung several times to place orders to no avail, we were greeted with a smile. We placed our orders personally there and then, drove home (lady lived in Barrow) then drove back later to collect our food. \nNot very professional way to record out of date closures for customers to hear. Yes, very busy, but ask customers to ring back or call in.\nA few friends have stopped using the jade because of this, which is a shame.

Massive portion sizes and the food is always piping hot. Beef chow mein is my favorite!
Friendly staff and loads of different dishes on the menu.
I think it's cash only and the nearest free cash machine is the one by the Co-op.

Sea Breeze Fish Bar
12 Station Rd, Dalton-in-FurnessI just had to write a review because i just had one of the best fish and chip suppers ever. The fish in particular was super fresh and tasty and not drowned in batter. Curry sauce was top notch too. And the price was excellent!

When ordering food parts of the starter platter on the specials menu were not available, however staff were able to replace the missing food with other things from the standard starter menu. Didn’t have to wait long for food at all, fast efficient service, food was delicious and hot! We really enjoyed and will return.

6 Broughton Rd, Dalton-in-FurnessConsistently the best quality Kebabs and Pizzas. The meat and wraps are great quality, the salad is always so fresh with Chillis and Onion which is perfect, the pizzas are really lovely.
Recommend the Luna special Pizza, all kebabs and the Chicken Tikka Wraps are exceptional!

Lucky Star Chinese Takeaway
9 Market Place, Dalton-in-FurnessNot been in Dalton long. Found Lucky Star on line, looked through extensive menu and ordered food for 2 adults and 2 kids. Paid online ( bonus ) and was told 45 minutes,which is reasonable. Knock on the door 20 minutes later ( yes, 20 mins ) from the lady at LS with our order. Great service, huge choice, generous portions,great price
