S Quay, MaryportHad a wonderful visit today, wish we knew the name of the member of staff we spoke to - he was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and clearly loved his job and the various creatures on display. We've been a few times and will certainly be back. All other staff where lovely too Inc cafe staff (food lovely and reasonably priced)

Cross Quays Chip Shop
13 King St, MaryportArrived at shop opening. The staff was very friendly. T
here isn't a huge menu and for me this is a sign of a good old fashioned chippy and certainly met my expectations. The chips cooked in beef dripping which is in my opinion the way fish and chips should be cooked. I think the portion just about the correct size too.
On my next visit to the area will definitely be making another visit to this chip shop.

Service is attentive and friendly, the options are reasonably priced and portions are generous. We recommend the brunch options.

Michael and I took the decision to retire in September to take some time to catch up with family and friends and possibly a few holidays. We miss all our lovely customers. I have made numerous attempts to get the notification changed to permanently closed,all to no avail. I apologise for any confusion this causes.

Went into get a take away coffee and was greeted by behind the counter singing, if it can be called that ,well half a verse anyway by the four girls behind the bar , asked for more but they declined saying didn’t know the words. Nice jovial atmosphere showed me the menu after I asked after the extraordinary coffee I had seen on advert outside . Flat white was bit steep so I went for the latte instead so difficult to review cus I normally order flat white which has more coffee in it. Nice and hot hit the spot, but if I had to recommend any improvements would be the price slightly high for the area and clientele

Quirky and interesting interior, toilets need a bit of TLC though.
No cask ales available, but prices were very reasonable and its a great place to sit and enjoy the seaviews on a fine day.

Lyons Manor House Park
Edderside Rd, MaryportAmazing site to switch off and reset, just back after a long weekend and I can happily say this place is awesome. The staff are so nice and nothing is an issue. The home made pizzas are honestly something else and the close beach made dog walks amazing as no one else around at 7am. 100% would recommend to any families even more so for kids and families with SEN needs as nothing to overwhelm or overstimulate the kids ,my son is 14 and he loved the place including the neighbouring cows and found it hilarious being stuck behind them in the car at 8am and said that's it we have to go back lol.

Cash only. Remember your order number to make things easier.The food was ready in less than 25mins, so super fast.Superb food as well, the salt and pepper ribs were large and very meaty. The mains were very tasty and no tough meat in any of them.Highly recommended, will definitely use Wongs again.

Absolutely fantastic little pub, staff are great (shout out to the trainee teacher).
The steak and ale pie is absolutely beautiful.
